About
Roses Run Country Club is touted as being northeast Ohio's toughest public golf course. The course has an interesting mix of holes from lengthy par 4s to tough par 3s and reachable par 5s. The front nine is a traditional links layout while the back nine hugs the Cuyahoga River with winding fairways that melt into fast, sloping greens. The layout incorporates a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play throughout. Roses Run Country Club will require some creative shot-making and the use of every club in your bag. It's a formidable layout that will test even the most skilled players. There is a driving range and practice putting green you can use for warming up, which might be a good idea before taking on this tough course.

Enjoyable course
Course was in great shape. Play was at a good pace and staff was very friendly.
Roses Run
First time golfing here and overall it was in pretty good shape. The staff were all nice, even at 7am. The greens were fast today. No real blemishes on the greens either. The only thing that is a little wonky is wholes #13,14&15. 13 is in the middle. 14 comes back on the right, and 15 wraps back around 13 to the left. So you have golf balls flying at you and other golfers in all directions. Our tee time was 7:04 and we finished before 11:00. They have the tee times spaced out enough so groups are not really waiting for a hole.
Management has killed this course
Starters let out a 8 sum followed by a 6 sum all playing their own ball... I am not joking. 8 people on a hole and 6 people on a hole. This was on a Saturday at 11am. Can't make it up.
Called the clubhouse 4x. Ranger never came out. Took 6hrs to finish out round. Its a shame because the course is in great shape and has a lot of potential but management has wanted to sell the place for years and they don't care enough to manage it correctly to attract good business. Highly don't recommend playing. Too many nice courses in the area to waste an entire Saturday playing Here

Longest Round of My Life (6 hours), backed up at every hole
We just finished playing 18 holes. This is the first time I have ever seen a course allow groups of 6 people and 8 people to play together. After an hour, when I saw 6 guys putting on one green, I called the pro shop and let them know. They said they would send out a ranger. They never did. We tried to call several more times and they quit answering the phone.

Played alone took less than 3 hours
Great course
Played 15 instead of 15 signs were confusing but once I figured it out I got to play 15 twice
2 of the par 5 holes are kind of funky no clear way to see green on 2nd shot basically 3 shot holes very winding
Another beautiful day
Some of the greens need help. Either growing or maintenance problems leaving variable speeds and rough places. Tees, fairways, and sadly I experienced the sand bunkers in mostly great shape.
Challenging tight course. Has great features
Not my first time playing Roses Run but I have always loved some of the unique holes on this course. The carts seem like they were recently upgraded within the last few months and it was in the best condition I’ve seen it in the last 2 years. They are really putting a lot of work in out there. I have never found it to be busy (but I try to avoid busy times). I can always count on myself to lose a ball in the woods on 12 while an airplane takes off a few hundred feet overhead.

Could Be Better
The course needs Rangers on busy days, pace was slow with open holes. Carts are old and dirty. Snack bar staff not very friendly, not rude but not pleasant.
Course needs water
This is a fun course, no two ways about it. The back 9 especially can be enough to challenge most golfers. But, they have not been keeping the course watered, so it is playing so fast and firm, the greens skip right through, and good drives bound out of the fairway.
I think with a little more effort to keep things lush, this would be as good as it gets in NE Ohio these days.

Great course
Everything was good at the course. My only complaint was the 5 plus hour round. We had no starter or anyone moving people along.

Love this place!
Challenging yet fun course to play with some interesting holes. Greens were just past being aerated so I had to account for that. Overall a fun round and super friendly staff
