Roses Run Country Club
About
Roses Run Country Club is touted as being northeast Ohio's toughest public golf course. The course has an interesting mix of holes from lengthy par 4s to tough par 3s and reachable par 5s. The front nine is a traditional links layout while the back nine hugs the Cuyahoga River with winding fairways that melt into fast, sloping greens. The layout incorporates a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play throughout. Roses Run Country Club will require some creative shot-making and the use of every club in your bag. It's a formidable layout that will test even the most skilled players. There is a driving range and practice putting green you can use for warming up, which might be a good idea before taking on this tough course.

Love this place!
Challenging yet fun course to play with some interesting holes. Greens were just past being aerated so I had to account for that. Overall a fun round and super friendly staff
Cart or Long Hike
This course is woven throughout a community so at times it is narrow and many times it is a good distance between holes including several street crossings.
Course has gone downhill
Golf Carts were dirty, brakes on the cart were on their last leg. Going from 1st to 2nd hole my parking brake engaged and my cart was still rolling down the hill. Very sandy greens, fairways & rough were hard to differentiate, fairways had a ton of clumps of grass. No ball washes on the course which was an issue.
I feel like this course has gone farther downhill over the last few years and I believe it has a ton of potential if they put the effort in. I won’t be playing here again anytime soon.

Home course
To me, this is my favorite public course layout by far. I’ve played here for years and will continue to go back. Very laid back and as long as you don’t go on a weekend it’s well worth the $30 some dollars. Play it a couple times and thing bring a friend that has never played it. Guarantee win. Enjoy
- cheers
Just get a ranger
The conditions are much improved from what they’ve been. Greens and tee boxes are in much better shape. Layout is great as always. Biggest complaint is get a ranger, just finished close to a six hour round due to one group being incredibly slow.
Thank you so much for leaving us with your feedback. We value our customer experience, so your review is important to us. We will make note and we hope to see you back at Roses Run Country Club!
Amazing Back Nine
The back nine, featuring the intimidating 12th and 14th, offers a truly unique golfing experience you will need your A -game to survive. Bring a half dozen old golf balls just in case. There’s a river, wetlands and pock bunkers to watch out for. The front nine is more open but it’s also well above average layout and condition than most public courses.
Much Improved
I played this course earlier in the year and it was in bad shape. I gave it another try after hearing they had a new greens keeper.
The change is remarkable. This course is in the best shape it has ever been. Greens are very good. Tee boxes are improving but still need some work.
They need to give that guy a raise!
Your average golfer
A buddy and I played this course one last time before moving out of state, last time I played this course it was in great shape, this time not so much tee boxes weren’t mowed and the tee markers weren’t on the tee box thought they were gonna mow them but not a mower insight, the greens were really nice ball rolled good, not to wet and not to dry, the fairways were mowed but there was a lot of clumped up dead grass in the fairways. The day got better on the back 9 when I got a hole in one on number 11, it was my first one so I was super pumped, kinda disappointed to find out when I got back to the club house they don’t do anything to recognize your hole in one even with a witness and video of it, the guy in the club house was kinda rude when I told him I got a hole in one, real sarcastic oh wow way to go, must be nice
