Wonderful Muni
The staff is incredible at this course. I do not think I have ever dealt with nicer people. The pro, the counter, the starters, all extremely friendly. You can tell they take pride in their job, and the course, and that goes a long way
Now to the course..... It was very well maintained. Tees were great, greens rolled true, although not extremely quick. The fairways were in very good shape, best muni course I have played in Ohio.
Layout has a few tight ones from the tips, but overall the course is at a long hitters mercy as it only plays 6500 from the back.
Extremely happy with Fox's Den around the board.

not overly difficult
course in great condition. the fast greens is what made this course very good. the staff very courteous and friendly. i will play this course again this summer.
Country club courses should look so good.
Course is well maintained. Outdoor staff active but not intrusive - must be happy in their work - heard a couple guys in a work singing as they went by. Starter was johnny-on-the spot friendly and accommodating. Inside the clubhouse (which has been nicely redone recently) the staff seems cheerful and helpful. Offered bags and cups of ice for our drinks without our asking. Food is quite good. Recommend the Italian sausage and the Dagwood Panini.
Great Experience
I have been golfing at Foxden since I was a kid. Then course is in the best shape I have ever seen. Sometimes the greens in the past have been real fast, and for players like me that don't get my longer irons up in the air enough to sit and stay this is a great thing. I not saying the greens are slow I just think they are healthy. Staff was great.
Well maintained and friendly
Nice gift for Fathers Day. Play got a little slow at times. The ranger disappeared on the back, but got around in 4 1/2.
Good course - slow play
Course was in overall good condition. Weather had been a little dry but the course was not extremely hard. Pace was a little slow being behind 2 foursomes.
well maintained lots of Trees
Have played there before, good value for the price. In great shape for a Muni course, and the staff is great. They also updated the bar area, it looks great.

The course was in excellent condition, the green were fast. The best deal of all was the price. I would recommend this course.
Good municipal course - well maintained
I played this course for the fist time in May 2013 and was pleasantly surprised by its condition. Most muni courses are beaten up from a lot of play but this course was in decent shape and the greens were well maintained. Also, the pace of play was not bad at all - again considering it is a muni course.
I would recommend this course to anyone who wants a fun, not too difficult course to practice shots and putting.

The muni-golf course is a decent little track....A great place to practice, not overly difficult or long but fun.

Fox den is an excellent, albeit challenging course. I can't wait to go back.
Great Muni
Shorter, somewhat tight at times with smaller greens (5,000sq.ft avg) makes Fox Den an enjoyable round with just enough challenges to keep you coming back for more. Hilly in spots, with very little water coming into play. Practice range across the street was open, but also being renovated/upgraded with part of the teeing area being prepared for a reseeding. Will definitely play again, especially since it looks like we will be moving closer to this great city run course.

This course has a nice lay out.
The course has a few easy holes and a few hard holes. It also has some fun holes that make you think.

The course was maintained well and the staff was friendly.
Course is usually better maintained although it is still early
Fox Den is usually in better shape. The greens were ok for this early in the season but the tees were very beat up. Hope they will get it ready for the season.
Nice Public Course
Fox Den is a nice public course that is owned by the city. The tee boxes as well as a fairways are kept up with well with only a few sports here and there that need work. This course sees a lot of traffic, and keeping that in mind they do a nice job at maintaining the course to a good playable level. The greens are true, but there are some ugly spots on a few of them, but being early spring I would assume these to be taken care of soon. The pace of play can be very slow on weekends, but during the week you are able to get threw 18 at a very good clip. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful when booking tee times. Overall i would give this course a B compared to others in the Akron area.
This course was in great condition, green pristine
For early spring, the course played great. The fairways had no tree leave or other wind related parts on them. All of the course was dry and you did get a good roll of the ball with the wind. Play was good. The greens were in good condition with out many pivots. The driving range was set-up with cross wind shots and sand to work out your programs. The staff was nice welcome us to return.
The course was a lot of fun
I thought the course was in great shape for being so early in the year.
