Golf Advisor: Top 25 Courses for Pace of Play in the U.S. (2021 #12)
Reviews
DOG Track
Absolute D.O.G. Track don’t waste your money. Staff is rude. Course is horrible. Dozens of other better options within 30-45 minutes.
For cheap it’s worth the practice
Too many trees so be prepared to hit your long irons straight lol
Average course, not worth the price tag
We played here a few days after extensive rain. Drainage for the course is very poor. Fairways/rough were inconsistent on height/cut while some of this may be attributed to the recent weather, I had played other courses a few days prior with less time to dry out and they were definitely better managed. Pace of play was fast. $48 for weekend 18 w/cart is rather high given the course and conditions.
Diamond in the "rough"
I've played here several times. Its been wet here lately so we were pleasantly surprised at the conditions. Great little track in Vermillion.
Good scoring course with challenges
Laid back course without crowding. Challenges include tight fairways and creek that flows throughout. Greens are above average difficulty. Recommend.
Worth the ride
Took a ride to Vermilion to play Willow Creek and was pleasantly surprised to find the nicest greens I've seen in years. The manager, Mike, obviously knows what he's doing and I'd recommend checking out the course to see the fruits of his labors. The $60 courses should send a rep to see how it's done.
Sandless Golf
Nice course, greens wee in great shape. No sans traps but easy to get into trouble with some water and by hitting into the trees.
