Beckett Ridge Golf Club
About
Beckett Ridge Golf Club was designed by Jack Kidwell, a well known name in Ohio golf. The course has a classic design that is inlaid with meandering streams that weave through stands of mature trees. The rolling landscape was deftly incorporated into the golf course. The layout offers a variety of holes ranging from long to short, tight to open. It is definitely a course that requires some strategy. One of the most memorable holes is the par-5 fifth. It measures 541 yards, but this downhill hole plays much shorter. There are out-of-bounds on either side and the tricky fairway slopes right to left but with some strategy and a little skill it is possible to make it home in two. Beckett Ridge is one of Southwest Ohio's best golf courses.

10th Hole at Beckett Ridge Photo submitted by Wahwah87 on 04/10/2013
Great course, Great Value
Only played nine holes before back tightened up and had to quit. No problem receiving a rain check for the other nine.
Course is one of the best values on Golf Now. Challenging, great greens, elevation changes and beauty.
This early in the spring the traps needed some work and the cart paths were a bit rugged but the rest of the course was in excellent shape.
Don't trust the advertising.
Purchased a 5:02 tee time for 18 holes. Special trip to drive out of the way to get there. As soon as we checked in the pro, whom I assume is the same guy that posted the "deal" on Golf Now, told us there is "no way we'd get in 18 because that tee time followed a league". At this point we had little choice but pay for nine holes. FIVE holes later, and TWO HOURS of waiting on every shot we gave up and quit. We were on a FOUR hour pace to play nine holes.
No ranger, no supervision, and no concern regarding the pace of play.
Not impressed.
Good course, great views, great value
Becketts Ridge probably has good greens, but they were just aerated, so I couldn't tell.
Awesome views for Ohio! Lost of up and down hill.
A few holes with great risk-reward set up, but most holes you can figure out the first time from the tee.
Fun, difficult course
playing golf in March is always a gamble. We chose Beckett Ridge for the cost on GolfNow. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the course and all of the fairways and rough were green and plush. The greens were still aerated but all in all good conditions. There were a lot of fun holes that made you hit tough golf shots.
Great course
Great bang for the buck... You've known you played a great course when you get though 18.
Average across the board
This course is not very challenging, not very well kept up, and not very beautiful. If you don't mind a course of lower difficulty for a decent price then you'll enjoy it. Staff was very friendly I must say.
Beckett
Course in good shape for end of December play..
No amenities available and pro shop way to busy.
The course is showing a lot of wear.
Like many of the municipal courses the course needs a lot of attention. The greens are fast but need some attention. Cart pathses are very rough.
good value for the price
The course was in good shape. Fairways were recently mown with very few brown spots. The greens were fast but rolled true.
nice course, but slow and bad service
Tee'd off at 1PM on a Wednesday, had a tee time but no one was there to control who went off. waited 3 groups before teeing off THEN came the longest game of my life. 2.5 hours for 7 holes... and that was me skipping 3 holes of old men taking their sweet time.
GET A RANGER AND STARTER!!!
Tight, challenging course. Fun to play.
I recently got back into golf... and I am still horrible. That being said, Beckett Ridge is a challenging, tight course. I was probably better suited to leave my driver in the bag. The terrain was fun, especially on the greens. I would play this course again, just not anytime soon.
Plenty of challenge
Nice course, well maintained, with plenty of challenge in the variety of layout. Sand traps could stand to be better maintained, and adding a starter and course marshall could help organize players at the first tee, and encourage faster pace of play. Good value for the price, though.
Great Course, But Rough Cart Path
Each Hole was challenging. The cart paths and the parking lot were way too rough. I hope they repair and pave the cart path and parking lot soon.
A shadow of it's previous self
What used to be one of the best courses in Cincinnati, is no more than an average Muni at this point. The course is no longer groomed and the greens were fast but ridden hard and beaten up. Play took well over 5 hours - no ranger to be found. I was told to make sure I stopped at the bar for drinks, since no serving cart existed on a Sunday at 1:00. Make sure you bring a water cup - they charge $1 for a cup of tap water. It is a solid track of golf, if managed properly. But this owner is bleeding it for all he can.
Pace of Play
The pace of play was almost unbearable. First time in my life I thought about walking off the course!
Nice experience
Nice layout. Challenging greens. Tight first nine while the back nine opens up. Several blind shots. Tees and cart paths need some work. Everyone in the foursome says they would play the course again
Course was in good condition, be careful on cart paths
Course was in good condition, a few greens were a bit marked up but otherwise tee to green it was nice. Sand traps were very well maintained!
Now, the cart paths are a different matter. If I were them I'd be starting to worry about liability issues and potential cart damage, they're in that bad a shape in a lot of places. Giant potholes all over the place, portions are completely disintegrated into loose gravel. If you're not paying attention you can get to bouncing really bad, real quick and either tear up a cart or lose control and (in a few spots) end up down a hill.
Okay for the money
Driving range is closed! We were offered to hit their three balls in to a net in a room.
Tee boxes are still mostly dirt, it has been like this as long as I can remember.
Look where you're going and go slow there is as much cart path missing as available....
The greens are VERY soft, so porous you can hardly fix your ball mark. Seems like mostly sand under? So... there are many bad looking spots but they're smooth enough.
Great course, poor facilities and staff.
Pace of play was terrible. No starters. No rangers on course. Staff unfriendly and not very accommodating. I would not recommend this course if you want to play a steady, evenly paced round. They stack their tee times and pace is extremely slow.
