Beckett Ridge Golf Club
About
Beckett Ridge Golf Club was designed by Jack Kidwell, a well known name in Ohio golf. The course has a classic design that is inlaid with meandering streams that weave through stands of mature trees. The rolling landscape was deftly incorporated into the golf course. The layout offers a variety of holes ranging from long to short, tight to open. It is definitely a course that requires some strategy. One of the most memorable holes is the par-5 fifth. It measures 541 yards, but this downhill hole plays much shorter. There are out-of-bounds on either side and the tricky fairway slopes right to left but with some strategy and a little skill it is possible to make it home in two. Beckett Ridge is one of Southwest Ohio's best golf courses.

10th Hole at Beckett Ridge Photo submitted by Wahwah87 on 04/10/2013
Beckett Ridge
The course was in great shape and I found it extremely challenging. The book that I got from the Pro Shop was extremely helpful. I think it would be a great course to play on a regular basis and that would help with knowing where you need to be on your tee shot. Overall, I was impressed with the layout.
Tough course
Long undulating tough course. Rough is a killer, many tree boxes are really torn up, and greens are fast and uneven everywhere. Greens are diabolical to average golfer. Good putting is a must. Better being your A game or 100÷ is likely. Pace of play is extremely slow (5 hrs for 18) and no marshals. Course could be made a lot friendlier and faster to play by losing the"US Open" set up they seem to be trying for.
One of the best in the City.
Wonderful shape. Very challenging and many of the greens are elevated.
Beckett Ridge
Beckett Ridge is a very challenging course. Tee times are too close together...8 minutes apart. Led to a 5+ hour round of golf. If not for that I would say we had a great time.
Great time
Since it was only the second time out this year, i was a little rusty on my game. But the course is score worthy for a consistent player. Thoroughly enjoyed the play of the course, and would have enjoyed it more if my play was more consistent. The greens ran true, and placement of fairway drives are somewhat of a must for scoring.
Nice course
Overall, a good course for the price with the GolfNow deal. Some fairways are a little tight, but usually it opens up on most of the holes if you find yourself off the fairway. Greens were in good shape and fairways were nice too. Pace of play was great, really didn't run into any delays and didn't have anyone rushing us either.
fantastic shape
I found the course to be in excellent shape with the fairways to be like a plush carpet. The Golf Now price was a great bargain. Friendly staff ending all the way to the "19 th" hole. Loved the course layout and every hole had scenic value.
Nice Course
Good local course. Recommend playing it. Nice that it has been opened to public play. A few funny holes, but not crazy.
Great day of golf
Had a great time at Beckett Ridge. The rate of play was slower due to the foursome in front of me. Otherwise no complaints! I'll be back.
Monday Afternoon Round
Played as foursome on hot humid day. Greens were good and rolled true, fairways very plush, intermediate cut of rough was a nice touch not usually seen on public courses. Traps filled with sand and had been raked. Could use rototilling for fluffiness. Course is fairly wide open from tees and fairways. Large yardage markers of blue, white, and red embedded in fairways easily showed distance to the green. Color coded flags on pins defined position of cup on green. $21 a great value on Golf Now. Only two negatives were somewhat minor, however could be eliminated with little cost and effort. Electric carts a big plus but 1 of our 2 almost ran out of power with 3 holes to play. Six cans of beer purchased was put in a plastic bag with ice which was melted in two holes. An insulated bag is not very expensive and keeps beverages cold. Pro shop well stocked, most items pricey, a few sales on shirts. Titleist 913 Ap1 set available for rental was a nice touch but sale price with bag of $1400 too pricey for 7 irons, two metals, putter and bag for a used set.
Great course but too slow
They overbook on weekends regularly. On the 12th PAR 5 hole, they ad three groups waiting to tee off. Turned around and went home rather than play a 6 hour round.
Course has great topography and was in vey good condition. The cart paths are badly in need of repair. Clubhouse is a throwback to the Brady bunch era.
I like it
played first time this course it was fun. well maintained fairways greens are little slow but good for me.
Nice course better service needed
The course is great. Text messaging workers and 6 hour pace of play without a ranger not so great!
fun course, hit it straight!
Overall course was in great shape, fairways were plush and green were true and fast. Rough was too high, if you dont hit fairways, looking for lost balls is time consuming and the rough is high enough to make it difficult to eveb advancd th r ball if you miss th e fairway by 5 yards. Overall my brother and I had a great time, lots of pretty holes.
Good track, rough early season conditions
The course was in fairly good shape. Greens were firm and fairways were well manicured. The rough was not well maintained, which created nearly impossible conditions for ametuer golfers.
Great condition
The course was kept in fantastic shape, the pace of play was a little slow. Overall great course though.
Good Conditions, Challenging Greens
The course was in good shape, and the pace of play was the fastest weekend round I've played all year.
new management?
No carts available for 3:12 tee time. Waited 15 minutes, then teed off at 4:05 (told it would be 20 minutes behind.) Got beer...$18 for six pack. At 6:30, making the turn, snack bar was closed with at least 70-80 golfers on the course (no bev cart in sight). Paid $16 dollars in the pro shop for another sixer...so which is the right price? Such a shame...course was in good shape, greens good but service, both with the delay timing and the apparent pricing difficulties, lacked any compassion at all. 8 minute tee times have never worked, wont work now or in the future. If they are trying to build back their business, then take a good close look at their current procedures and make some drastic changes ASAP. If you enjoy 6 hr. rounds, go on the weekend. Next time, if we go back, we will go midweek around 11....maybe they will have decided on how much to charge for beer by then.
Marshall!!!
3:12 tee time. Showed up at 2:45 to use the range, which was closed. No big deal, they informed me of a room upstairs that was an indoor hitting bay. The Starter informed me that they were running about 20 minutes behind. Ok, no big deal. 4:05 comes around and there are probably 7 - foursomes on the practice green getting antsy, and we finally get the tee-box.
It wasn't too slow once we got on the course, but the back 9 barely got finished due to a group ahead of us taking 7 tee shots, playing sword-fight on the greens...Staff drove by 2 or 3 times but drove by the group without saying anything.
Fun course, but I dont know that its worth 6 hours to not finish my round.
can be improved
Nice course , but too slow to play. Good place to play, may be good to play at morning.
