Beckett Ridge Golf Club
About
Beckett Ridge Golf Club was designed by Jack Kidwell, a well known name in Ohio golf. The course has a classic design that is inlaid with meandering streams that weave through stands of mature trees. The rolling landscape was deftly incorporated into the golf course. The layout offers a variety of holes ranging from long to short, tight to open. It is definitely a course that requires some strategy. One of the most memorable holes is the par-5 fifth. It measures 541 yards, but this downhill hole plays much shorter. There are out-of-bounds on either side and the tricky fairway slopes right to left but with some strategy and a little skill it is possible to make it home in two. Beckett Ridge is one of Southwest Ohio's best golf courses.

Going down hill
This place use to be great . Not so much anymore. Poor conditions all the way around. Just another course that is broke and mis managed .
great layout - poor condition
Played this course on April 12. There has been plenty of time to cut new cups, however none of the cups appear to have been cut since last fall.
Traps are full of rocks and sand is very hard.
Practice green is hairy and appears that no fertilizer has been applied.
Dead trees at entry-way to course -- makes me believe owner does not understand what first impression he is making.
Portable trailer beside clubhouse in full view - again poor impression.
Normally no rangers to keep play moving -- slow players do not let faster players thru.
No driving range.
I play it on occasion since it is close to my home -- otherwise there are many better values.
Great. Course design
Love the layout, Condition was not so great condition , but expected since it has a off season. Would definitely play again when the price is right
Closed open
The day before we golfed it rained very hard. We booked our game the day after it rained. When we got there the course was closed. No one around. One of the workers phoned the golf staff and was informed the course was closed. We were going to head home but my wife was very stubborn. She looked around and found another worker who offered to get us a cart so that we could golf. 10 minutes later away we went. We had a great time with the course to ourselves. The course was soggy but still in great shape. We would golf there again at the drop of a hat. It would have been nice to have someone in the club house to inform us the course was closed. Thanks to the friendly worker we had a super fun game
Nice
Stopped to play a round as I was passing through town. Only a few people on the course, pace of play was fast 2:45 round single. Greens were aerated recently so can’t really judge them. The layout was unique, undulations and some blind tee shots tough par 3s. In decent shape being October but the fairways didn’t have much under the grass it was too short. Very mature grounds, I’d play it again in the middle of summer.
Old C.C. Course trying to improve.
Challenging course. Seems like some irrigation issues. Very wet in areas and not a lot of rain. It was Cart paths only which made play very long. Took 6 hours to play 18. Old country club turned public. New owner trying to make improvements. Not a horrible exp. was able to make a tee time for 3+ on a late Fri night for Sat am play. Clubhouse needs some work and organization. The guy that checked us in was nice.
Simply not worth the dollar.
I don't know what happened to this golf course, but it simply is not worth playing now. The layout is still amazing, but the maintenance is not there. Tee boxes were very below par. There was only a single person in the clubhouse. No body is on the course to take care of it.
We played behind a five-some. Very unprofessional. If you want to spend $50 to play, I would highly recommend playing another location. It's a shame because the course could be one of the best in this region. I will not return at any price.
I had to push our cart up the final three hills to get it back to the clubhouse. We didn't play the final three holes as we were already 4:30 into the round. Bunkers were very sub-par. Weeds and bare spots everywhere. It was actually shocking how poor the course is.
I can honestly say, I have not been this disappointed in many years.
Great layout, needs maintenance
Beautiful layout on a challenging course, but more than a few areas need maintenance. Definitely worth the $ to play this.
Beckett Ridge golf course
Beckett Ridge golf courseI believe this golf course was just purchased within the past year. I don't understand why the service and the upkeep is so unprofessional when my understanding is that the golf course was purchased within the past year. I wish someone would ask me to be a partner. I feel this golf course has so much opportunity
Great course
Great course, great staff makes it enjoyable for all levels of play.

Great layout
A really fun and challenging course. Great layout. Greens and fairways in really great shape. Hate all the par 3's except for one. Only issue is the bunkers need turned and need sand. A few weeds in the fairways also but the course is in really great shape
going down hill
it had been 2 or 3 years since i played here last. man has this play went down hill!
started off bad when i had to pull up the website on my phone to show the guy behind the counter their rates when he tried to over charge us.
gave us bags of melted ice for the coolers.
tee boxes where terrible
clubhouse closed when we made the turn.
worst of all was the pace of play. almost 5 hours and we didn't even get to play 18 because it was getting to dark and there was 2 groups waiting on the hole.
won't be back
Course being upgraded.
Has been 3 years since I last played Beckett Ridge. There is a new owner and you can tell he is trying to get the course in much better playing condition. The fairways and greens were in excellent condition today with a few brown spots on the fairways but did not hurt playing condition. Sand traps are in need of sand as some of traps are rocky and muddy (why not fill in a few of the traps, like a few other course, to minimize maintenance cost). Cart paths are in need of repair as holes makes for rough ride. All and all if new management continue improvements this course is going to be a gem in the future. Off course amenities are lacking currently. Highly recommend playing this course as it is a good layout as long as you can keep ball out of the bad traps.
Good and challenging Course
Nice course with some challenging holes, played there as a kid in the 70's when I was grown up. Have wanted to play but timing never worked out...just retired from 30 years in military and know have time when I visit parents. Glad to see new owner making improvements. Maybe add a gym (24x7)for residentss of BR, have seen at other clubs and seems to work out well.
Beautiful course.
