Beckett Ridge Golf Club
About
Beckett Ridge Golf Club was designed by Jack Kidwell, a well known name in Ohio golf. The course has a classic design that is inlaid with meandering streams that weave through stands of mature trees. The rolling landscape was deftly incorporated into the golf course. The layout offers a variety of holes ranging from long to short, tight to open. It is definitely a course that requires some strategy. One of the most memorable holes is the par-5 fifth. It measures 541 yards, but this downhill hole plays much shorter. There are out-of-bounds on either side and the tricky fairway slopes right to left but with some strategy and a little skill it is possible to make it home in two. Beckett Ridge is one of Southwest Ohio's best golf courses.

10th Hole at Beckett Ridge Photo submitted by Wahwah87 on 04/10/2013
The course was in great shape
The course was in great shape, the cart paths could use some attention.
Good deal with GolfNow
BR is one of the best courses in the area. Challenging holes, nice scenery, excellent staff. While there are houses around the holes, they are not obtrusive. Upper end of the price range for the area. Course in good condition considering the current heat wave. Greens excellent.
Beautiful, challenging course!
Course is very well maintained and is 18 holes of pure fun!
Fun Course
They desperately need starters/rangers and more space between tee-times. The course has a lot of blind shots especially on the front nine that can make it very difficult if it's your first time playing here. Quite a few risk/reward holes which makes it fun to play. Overall, for the price I paid, I would play again but I will try a less busy time.
Course was in good shape
The course was fine but tee times were scheduled every 7 minutes. We teed off roughly a half an hour AFTER our scheduled tee time. We played the front 9 in over 3 HOURS!!! We had to wait for every shot. This is no reflection on the 4some in front of us. They were waiting as was every group we could see in front of us. Yes it was the weekend but WOW!! We made the turn to start the back 9 only to see 3 4somes waiting to tee off at #10. We gave it up and accepted a raincheck!! It ruined a beautiful day.
So glad Beckett Ridge went from members only to public
Reason I am so glad, it is a nice golf course to play at, a little challenging. The grounds are well maintained and they have a great staff.
love to play it - plays slow especially on the weekends
No starter or ranger ever on the course. even with a tee time the course just plays slow on weekend play.
Free for all at the teebox.
Be prepared to not have a starter and be advised the tee time you book means next to nothing. Get there early and wait in line. I've been through the process before at BR so for $25 I can deal with the chaos and 5 hour round. Still a good layout and decent course conditions.
Beautiful fairways and greens shed water well.
After heavy rains it was cart path only. I walked along wtih a twosome in a cart. Never waited to hit a shot and allowed a couple faster moving singles to play through. Bunkers have adequate sand, but extraordinary rains made them unplayable in spots; when dry, they'll play nicely. Greens are fast, even when wet, and roll true. For walkers, they don't offer a reduced rate, and there are two tough walking holes on each side.
Great Golf Course!
It was my first time playing Beckett Ridge. It was a good, challenging, but not overly, challenging course. Tight tee boxes opened to generous fairways. Water hazards and sandtraps called for "thinking" course management and not over powering the course. I will be back and recommend this course, highly!
Great layout, terribly slow play, no marshall.
A Kidwell design, one that allows all levels of play and have fun. What ruined it for our group was pace of play, and with no marshall to keep play moving, or advise players like the ones we followed who drove their cart literally every where, it is unlikely to improve. If you chose to play here, I suggest a morning round, to have a chance to play in less than 6 hours.
Good
The course is in good shape. I didn't get to play the entire course because of rain but the greens were in good shape and there were no signs of dead grass anywhere on the course.
Great course for the $$
Can't be beat for a GolfNow price of $28.
Course is terrific and well maintained. The car paths are getting quite worn/bumpy/cracked but other than that the place is awesome.
Very unorganized
There was not a starter working, so it was a bit of a cluster truck teeing off. Play was very slow on the front nine(3 hours), but the back nine was not crowded. Cart paths are also extremely bumpy. Course could definitely use some maintenance. Overall though, you can't beat that price for a tee time. I will just try to steer clear of the late afternoon.
Needs maintenance
The restroom was trashy. The cartpaths are deteriorated. The course layout is great and the greens and fairways were in good condition. Sand traps needed some work.
Each hole is very unique making it a fun course to play.
Challenging course in very good condition
Always in very good condition, a challenging course that plays at a great pace.
Very nice, picturesque course with much elevation variation. Beautiful homes around perimeter.
Very nice course. Even considering how perfect the rainfall has been this Spring, the greens were consistently fast and smooth. We had a few putts roll near the hole, then roll off the green. Hole 18 green borders on unfair, but is fun to play though :-). The rough adjacent to the greens was cut 3+" high and very challenging to chip from. Some of the fairways had some excessive east and west roll too but not unmanageable. The tees were flat and smooth. The ponds were clean looking. Perhaps the most picturesque feature on the course were the mature well trimmed trees. I played a decent round, was rewarded for good shots and punished for poor shots.
This course has great features
This course was great to play at. Great scenery and it was very well kept.
Good Course
Beckett is challenging for any level of golfer. A lot of holes that play up hill which makes the course play long. The back 9 is a little trickier than the front.
Enjoyable course and well maintained
Played 5/27. We started around 1030 and we didn't finish till after 330 and close to 4p. We were slowed down by a SUPER slow group 4-5 groups ahead of us. We were backed up starting from 1 holes. at one point there were 3-4 groups backed up across 2 holes. Called clubhouse early in round to send a ranger out and he came promptly. But still we never saw a ranger the rest of the day to see how things are going. For the price we paid, i would expect a ranger roving the course looking for backups to ensure enjoyable play for all
