Hickory Flat Greens Golf Course

We have played this course multiple times and have been very pleased.

Today was a little different was held up by a foursome for the first 10 holes finally let our twosome play thru on 11. Pace was very slow for us but we both believe we play fast.

The other difference today was that the greens did not hold well at all, hit a 60 degree wedge in from 75 yards and it would bounce off the back. first we have seen of this but all in all great course and fun layout.

This course was pretty nice. Not too many traps, not too much water, mostly flat but with some interesting holes up & downhill. Pretty setting with trees and views. Not too crowded, so we could enjoy ourselves. Only complaint is lack of beer for sale. Wish I'd know before I got there... I could've brought my own.

I love Hickory flats. A GREAT layout. Back nine has 3 par 5s and 3 par 3s. Conditions were pretty good considering all the rain we've had. Shot 45 - 38.

Teeboxes, fairways and greens it really good shape. Rough was a little too high and needed raked badly. Way too many "clumps" of brown mowed grass in the rough. Really takes away from the beauty of the course. Other than that its a really nice course.

Course was in great shape. Greens were excellent and putted true and fast. Enjoyed the day.

This course is fun to play because it makes you feel like you're better than you actually are. Flat greens, being able to slice or hook into another fairway and still have a decent shot to the green is a hackers dream.

The course was well kept, greens were nice, price was great!

This is a typical public course, with some bare fairway areas and minimal rough due to dry conditions. The greens, however, are in very good shape. They roll well, and will hold a well hit iron shot. Course plays over 6,300 from the white tees, so this is no pitch and putt course.

There are no "WOW" holes on the course. #13 is probably the signature hole. This is an uphill 5 par with a severely undulating green. That's about it

I just starting playing this course last year. I had played it years ago, and I was impressed this time with the better conditions it is in now as it was back then. I have played there several times this year. The greens have been a little hard and slow. They need watered and cut shorter to make for a true roll to them. The fairways are a little dry and the ruff has been a little too high. I think they have been waiting for rain, but we have not had much in the last week. This course could be really great if they address these issues, but I still like playing this course.
