Cimmaron National
Hidden gem in the OKC area. These people know what golfers like and expect. My favorite in the area.
Good time
Several challenging holes and played in 3 hours. Greens were looking good and rolling good.
Great Layout!
On holiday from Canada, really enjoyed the course today. Brand new golf cart. Spotless condition. Course has interesting variety of holes. No bunkers required as there is plenty of water to deal with. Greens were in great condition, fairways as well. Unfortunately not many golfers. Too bad as Cimarron National is in great shape!
Course not maintained
My first time on the course. The initial item that I would point out is that the fairways are dirt and the rough is sparse weeds with dirt in between. Every shot besides tee shots and putting deals with 'ground under repair'. I got a hot deal for $20 and felt as though I overpaid. We have had plenty of rain this year and other courses in the area are thriving. I believe that the reason this course is not is that they are cutting corners in taking care of it. The layout of the course is great and if properly maintained (reseeding, fertilizer, etc) it would be one of the best in the area to play. However, almost every shot is dirt and we have had very good spring weather. I would expect to see what I saw if we were in a drought and it has been 100+ for a month but that is not the case. They are out of their mind if they think this course is worth $39 a round.
Cimarron National
Great course layout and a good challenge from the tips! Used almost every club in the bag. Will be coming back soon.
Quick and fun
First time playing this pair of courses, and really enjoyed the layout and the elevation changes. For My Taste The Greens Were Slow This Morning mayBe Due Early fog. I will definitely play it again. A nice thought was the yardage to the water when it came into play on the drives...playing from senior tees, I actually had to give some thought to my drive choice.
I guess due to weather that morning, basically had the course to myself and did the round in less than 2.5 hours and that was great.
Aqua Canyon course
Greens were in good condition and putted true. Pace of play was pretty fast, wind was blowing and we had a good time. Excellent value for what I paid.
Great course
First time there. Shot 85, ties my third best score this season. Fairways were a little hard (rock), greens were in very good shape due to the amount of watering they do on them. Tees needed to be cut, but we're in good condition. Very good course for the money and drive (50 minutes) for me.
It's a challenge...but fun to play
The course is in above average conditions. The greens are great, receptive to shots but above average speed. Bring your short game to score well. If you're tired of 4-5 HR rounds come here.... we get done in about 3 hrs.
The 19th hole is one of the best around....good selection of drinks and the best burger around.
A Good Challenge
This course reminds me of the city course in Wellington Ks.... tight fairways and a layout that requires precision off the tee in terms of distance control. Pace of play is great and course conditions are above average right now. Greens are good and moderately quick but will hold a good approach. It's not a long course but requires ball control to score well. It's a good place to play.
Couldnt possibly be more pleased
Both courses at Cimarron Natl. G.C. have moved to the top of my list of favorite courses to play. Very enjoyable and most interesting layout with elevation changes. Every hole seemed different from the last leaving you wondering what the next hole held in store. Lots of water, but completely void of sand bunkers. Greens were in terrific shape. Fairways had some near bald areas, but hardly detracted from enjoyment of course. Practice facilities were top rate as well. All in our party couldn't understand why both courses were almost empty on such a beautiful day. Only thing that definitely needs improvement is yardage markers to the greens were almost non-existant, or too difficult to find. We did a lot of guessing with club selection. We will definitely be playing both courses again. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great course.
Staff was super friendly and the course was in great shape. My buddy even hit his first hole in one on hole #3 of the National course! We'll be back soon.
Course layout is challenging staff is friendly and courtious, great course to go play
The Cimmaron layout is a challenge, requiring precision and length on Par 4's and 5's. Clubhouse is nice and food is great. Recommend to others.
Very friendly staff
Course could use some fairway watering. Downhill lies are difficult due to drought conditions where grass is lacking.
