Closed the course.
It pains me to write this review, as NY Country was one of my favorite golf courses. I would play it 6-8 rds a year. Around a month and a half ago I received a phone call at 5:30 in the evening the night before our t-time. I was told the course would be closing bc of inclement weather. Obviously this cancelation of our t-time with such short notice was incredibly annoying, but it was made worse by the fact that a year previously I was charged full price for four players when someone in my foursome had to cancel last minute. When I explained this to the representative of the golf course and inquired what action the course would take to make the less than 24 hr cancelation right, I was told they wouldn’t be doing anything.

Excellent
Course was in pristine condition. Pace of play was perfect. Staff was friendly, attentive and accommodating. Would definitely come back and would definitely recommend to others.

Good Round
NY Country club is a nice golf course that’s challenging and competitive. The course was wet when we played, so the pace was slow and there was water in some of the same traps. The traps that were clear were in pretty good shape, but wet.
Overall, NYCC is a nice place for a round and I’d definitely golf there again.

Good course, rough a bit challenging
Course played well. It was overall in good shape. Rough was punitive, suggest cutting back in order to move rounds more quickly. Staff friendly. Food was mediocre.

Great value
Good layout (a couple goofy holes, eg #9). Good conditions (greens on the slower side but not too bad). I’d play here again.

Slow slow
Greens are slow and pace of play was excruciating slow..well over five hours!!!!! And the rangers did nothing to make the 3 or 4 extremely slow groups pick up the pace….not doing their job.

Great Course. Got backed up a little at the end of the front 9, and the pace was slow for 4.75 hour round. We enjoyed the multiple long par 5s.
