County club atmosphere and conditions! Excellent hospitality-pace of play and conditions ! Worth the moderate price. A must do if you live in tri state area!!!

Best course in Rockland!
This course is a great time every time out here. The course is playing outstanding and staff couldn’t be anymore helpful to me and my group. Everything they are doing to keep golf fun and safe during COVID-19 is on par. Love this course and would recommend to anyone looking to play a fun round at a slightly challenging course.

Country club hospitality- conditions and pace of play. This is the best value in New York. Country club feel and professionally run. Would put this on the “must do “ list if you are in the tri state area !!

not worth the money
This was a bad round. First, they had people sharing carts. Some staff wore masks, some did not. First tee- we witnessed a group with a "member" get inserted between two foursomes. Everybody lied about what was going on. There was a 10:20 group that got off fine. we were 10: 30. The starter allowed an foursome to go off at 10:25 in between the 2 booked times. They did not have a tee time. They "tipped " the starter and messed up the entire list of groups behind us too. result...2 hours and 50 min for 9 holes on a Friday.
One positive is, after complaining, we were offered a 9 hole rain check and we all took it. We now HAVE to go back and play there but It will be the last time
Kirk, I would like to thank you for your comments. Every review is a learning experience for us. I am sincerely apologetic that your round did not go as planned. I would like to comment on all of your points.
1) We do allow golfers to share carts but we also provide a screen divider upon request that can be placed in the golf cart separating the driver and passenger.
2) We have a very strict policy for all of our outside staff to wear gloves and masks at all times
3) Your group was placed behind a squeeze time, members are not allowed to have special tee time privilege's and the starter was not paid in anyway to squeeze the foursome in.
4) A round at NYCC averages 4.5 hours. Unfortunately, your group was caught on a slower day. Very rare but that does happen.
5) As soon as the ranger came out he assessed the situation and made the necessary adjustments to the groups ahead of yours to speed up play. He also offered refreshments to your group for the inconvenience and also offered to give you a 9 hole raincheck.
It is my hope that you take us up on the raincheck, and give us another opportunity to show you what a round at the New York Country Club is all about.

NY COUNTRY CLUB
Nice course but needs amenities after COVID. Other courses have amenities even wth COVID.
Too slow
Overall, course was in good condition. It was a hot day, but there is breeze by the course which made it easier. However, pace of play was bad as it took 5 hours to finish. Really didn't see rangers in the back 9. The driving range is small, so practice is only for irons. The starter and staff outside were nice. There was one staff inside, who I thought was bit rude, but probably doesn't represent the course. Pin placements were tough. Expect undulation greens, so GIR is just half the battle. Greens rolled fast and but some holes I thought were bit inconsistent from majority of holes. They did shave off rough and fescue to play bit easier and faster. Other than pace, it has an interesting layout.

Quite challeging holes
Hole 9 & 10 somewhat unique but very challenging...
If they can rebuild it, this course should be one of the best 20 in Northeast area.

Pace of Play needs attention
*Pace of Play was very slow
*Two-three qualified Rangers should suffice to improve the pace of play.

Good track
Needs a Ranger to keep it moving. We got bunched up and packed it in after 16. I have played here many times. Good track. Some very unique holes.
Driving range balls are old and dirty. Should be better for the prices you pay here. Other than that - Good track. Just keep it moving!
