Quirky, fun and great value
I was going to rate this 3 stars which for me means you should play it if you get the chance, but had to bump it to 4 stars on value alone. With the 55 and over discount I payed $28 to play with a cart. You literally cannot beat that value. Conditioning was pretty good some of the greens were a little bumpy due to some new sod but overall they rolled pretty true and not too fast I would guess 8-9 on the stimp. Plenty fast if you are above the hole. Very mountainous course with some very elevated tee shots. The next time I play I would hit to some different spots it's only 6200 yards from the tips so not overly long but you can drive it through the fairways off a few of the tees so when in doubt play smart. a few forced carries but nothing too awful even from the back tees. Some fanatastic panorama views of the Tulsa skyline that alone are worth the green fee. Not a great course but a very fun course I would reccomend it and I look forward to playing it again.
Great Course, Great Price, Just Beautiful.
Lots of hills. Lots of beautiful views. This course is very open and easy to stay in bounds, just be ready to climb some hills. Great value if you use GolfNow Hot Deals.
The course is mainly on hills and has a wide variety of challenging shots. You want to take extra balls if you have trouble slicing or hooking your shot. We had trouble getting the ball to stick on the greens but we had a good time. I think everyone should play it at least once If they have the chance.
It's fine, but bring a range finder
The course is looking good, they've cleared out so much. The pro shop is sparkling. Finding yardage was near impossible and not to be fully relied on when found.
Excellent day for Golf
Good set-up for the course. Perhaps a marshal could help with pace of play. There was a group of young adults in front of us that were should have been more serious about playing.
Great course for the money. The elevation changes make for a challenging round, but not a super hard course overall. The course was in great shape and the clubhouse staff are really friendly.
Hello, tcarder11. We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. We would love to know how we can earn those last two stars next time! Thanks for playing The Canyons at Blackjack Ridge.
The course can be in rough shape at times, but it’s getting more consistent, and they seem committed to improving the course.
It has the most drastic elevation changes in the area and some of the best views of downtown Tulsa. Not a hard course assuming you have a range finder with elevation. Greens aren’t the best, but they’re not the worse. Overall, one of the better public courses in the area with the potential to be even more
Great layout. Will challenge your game, especially from the back tees. Loved the course.
Not the worst, but….
Called on 8/14 to reserve a round for 3 people on 8/15. Rep was polite and I had no issues over the phone. We get to the course the next day and are told that they’re working on the front 9 and we will have to play the back 9 twice if we want to play 18 holes. This should’ve been mentioned before we all drove 30 and 45 minutes to the course. I highly doubt they didn’t know they were going to maintenance 9 holes the day before.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes.
Your feedback helps us do better. We are looking into this issue and hope to resolve it promptly.
Thank you for visiting The Canyons At Blackjack Ridge. We hope you'll give us another try in the future.
Interesting and scenic course, but expect to be there a while.
The pace of play is incredibly slow and there is not a Marshall to monitor it. Weekends are the worst - it’s better on weekdays. However, if you’re not in a hurry and just out for the day, it’s a fun course.
Thank you so much for leaving us with your feedback. We value our customer experience, so your review is important to us. We will make note and we hope to see you back at The Canyons At Blackjack Ridge!
Relatively short course but very challenging. Greens are coming around nicely after changing to Bermuda. The greens aren't large and require a good eye for reading the breaks. Several holes invite the brave to take chances. Great sand traps. The sand isn't river sand. It's white and very easy to hit out of. The grill has really good food and a variety of beer/alcohol. New golf carts but no GPS. Great views of Tulsa city scape. Love the course!
