Cherry Creek Golf - The Links Course

Play here at least once a week....The Course was kept immaculate...Leaves were blown off...Easy to find ball.My friends and I had a great day and would play again in a heart beat...Great deal thru Golf Now!

The day started off chilly but warmed up nicely. The course was in great shape with plenty of rough to make it challenging. Greens had been aerated in September and were clean and smooth and running fast. My first time on the course but will be back.

Course was in great condition. Windy and cold so long par 4s into the wind were unreachable in 2, but the layout is great and the green sheld and rolled true.

Nice course with a mix of holes. Forgiving and challenging at the same time. Course condition review influenced by fall aeration.

Course was a challenge Back nine grens were rough from airation Staff was great.

Decent golf course, usually in good shape, greens just aerated with HUGE plugs, these won't be healed until November at least so avoid until then. No warning that greens were aerated, drove an hour and even asked ahead of time about greens and was told "they're good". Would not get refund in pro shop and was met with absolutely disgusting customer service, the man was so rude and even after reasoning and apologizing was basically told "too bad". Will never return, worst customer service ive ever experienced at a golf course. That man should be ashamed of how he treated a customer. AVOID

Overall the golf course is in great shape.

Visiting Long Island on business. Colleague sets up a tee time and claims he won't take me to a "inferior course." He must not play a lot of good tracks because this place was in bad condition. The driving range looked like the one in Tin Cup - crab grass everywhere and big bare sections. On the course and near the greens, in lots of places the grass was not good. We were scheduled to go off at 12:48 pm and we did. It had rained in the morning and so they imposed the "cart path only" rule. By the end of nine holes, the course was totally dry enough to drive on and they should have let us resume normal play but - oh no - their precious dog patch needed more protection. As a result, pace of play was ridiculous. 5 hours plus before we got done. Slow greens, stony sand traps, and the guy in the club house who was pretty crabby. The bar tender at the 19th hole was the only highlight for me.

Moved a twosome in front of us, because they arrived late. They were going to let them out alone, but after us urging the starter, they allowed the twosome that we were hooked up with to go out with them. This foursome was extremely slow and inconsiderate, not allowing us to play through. Would have pressed them further, but didn't want to cause a fistfight. No ranger to be found. Played 13 holes in 4 & 1/2 hours, waiting on every shot. Extremely frustrating. Had taken day off to play and course is a 40 mile drive. Left after 13 and complained to management. They offered me a free 9 hole round, which I wasn't interested in. Took my name & telephone # but never called me back. Think twice before you play here. Many alternatives in the area.

This course has gone down hill over the last several years. The greens are like sponges and covered with ball marks. The bunkers if you want to call them that are nothing more than craters filled with rocks. The fairways are also cut too high they are more like first cut height. Layout and hole variety are nice which is why I give this place a shot each year but as of late I have been disappointed by the experience. Pace of play is also a joke. 4:45 for 18 holes is unacceptable. Part of the reason is that the course is too long for the average guy to be playing the whites (6500+). Maybe if they changed the color of the tees these guys who cant hit past 200 yards would play one set forward.

Nice course in average condition. Greens are fair and decent for a public course. We played at 2 pm and the course was nearly empty so pace of play was excellent. Some burnt out areas, a roomy layout with some interesting holes.

Great course. I can't wait to play it again BUT. My foresome was made of seniors and the rate for seniors is less than I paid to Golfnow. I'll check rates before using this site next time.

Even without the course being too busy the pace of play was atrocious! As well as the course conditions. The fairways needed a mowing... The greens were just about as thick as the fairways. It seams as if the folks who play here often don't really care for this course. Ball marks and divots weren't touched. It's really ashamed. this course used to be a very good one.

Cherry Creek is normally a pleasant experience, but I have to draw the line at a five and a half hours to play a round. There were at least three consecutive twosomes in front of us; while it would have been a matter of etiquette for the golfers themselves to join up, one of the rangers (and there were a couple of them) should really have forced the issue to speed up play. After a quick start, we began to run into two groups waiting at each tee from #6 onward.

Didn't see the Ranger until 14 by then it was too late. Nobody enjoys a 5 hour plus round.

We had a fantastic day at Cherry Creek Links. The course is in fabulous condition, the greens were very challenging after they dried of morning dew. This place has everything we needed. grass driving range, putting green, friendly clubhouse with food & drink. worth the drive out from the city.

Great course i play there all the time. I come as a single often they always find me a game. Great service good lunch also. Greens always in great shape. Give it a try..

Cherry Creek Is A Beast At Almost 7,200yds From The Back Blue Tees. A Different World From The Middle White Tees At Approx 6,500yds.

We Tee'd Off @ 8;30am & Completed The Monster Round In 4hrs10mins Flat. Traffic Moved Well All Day With Minor Delays On The Par 3's. w/Rangers & Cart Girl Always Around.

The Course Is Lush, Long, Open & Mostly Flat. Driver Confidence Is Not A Problem For Me So Playing The Tips On Mostly Straight LONG Fairways Was A Must @ 7,200yrds Including A 650yrd Par 6... SICK! Took Out My Boyz Shooting An 85 To Their 87/88 Because I Drove It With Authority All Day. The Gentleman Single Playing With Us Shot From The Whites @55yo He Did Not Have The Power 220/235 Off The Tee, But He Hit It Straight & Scored An 86 From The White Tees. He Knew His Game & It Was A Pleasure Playing With Him.

The Creek Is Not Weak & A Must Play At Least Once. Next Ill Be Trying Its Sister Course "The Woods"

Good Luck & ONLY Play The Tips If You Can Crank It 250+yrds off The Tee... Otherwise Do Other Golfers A Favor & Play The Whites & Have Fun...

Nice course, very slow pace of play and it shouldn't have been. More rangers should have been out there moving the pace along.
