Drainage
I know it's been raining but, I wish the course had better drainage.
It would make course top rated.
Plugged fairways surprise!
I played Friday and had such a great time I played again the following Monday, I love this course!
I was surprised by the plugged fairways staff was busily collecting in alternative rows so relief from stance or ball in the plugs was easy. I essentially had to play winter rules in October. Staff as always was friendly and gracious about my disappointment, typically I’ll see a warning when I booked it, I didn’t see any, I do look this time of year every time. Quick round was able to play solo.
Interesting Track, something different
If Eastmoreland and Glendover had a baby it would Forest Hills. Lots of trees and lots of elevation changes. Decided to play somewhere new and found a good deal at Forest Hills. A double dogleg 6th was the highlight of the front nine for me.
I thought the back had some fun holes with small greens requiring accuracy.
My only complaint is the pace of play got bogged down at times and there wasn't a marshall on the course to keep things moving but it was a nice fall day so it was manageable to deal with.
Forest Hills little gem in middle of nowhere
If you can get out this way this course is excellent. challenging for all level of players. Toughest rated hole is number 4 a 208 yard par 3. Another par 3 on back number 17 is a butt-clencher 209 par 3. If i lived out that way i would always recommend and i would definitely join the club as a member.
Sad
Can't review the golf course because I didn't play it. I'm disabled and need a power cart and was told there wasn't one available on a weekday morning. Golf courses should always have a few carts reserved for the disabled and have employees a bit more understanding than Joe was Thursday morning. If you're are disabled I wouldn't recommend this course.
Forest Hills is a great golf course suited for all golfers.
This golf course is wonderful, its located kinda out in the middle of now where(Cornelius). We teed off at 11am and to our surprise wasn't really many golfers out there until after us. Greens can be alittle slower especially up hill but would recommend this course to all level of golfers. The shorter tees make it enjoyable for your average golfer and the back tees can make it pretty darn interesting for accomplished players. Example: #1 handicap hole is 209 yard par 3 with no water hazards, ob stakes, or tricks to it just a very good hole. And hole #17 is another 200+yard par 3 with water hazards. It took us almost 1 hour to get there and my playing partners and i can't wait to get back. If i lived anywhere closer i could see this being my home course. And they sell memberships.
