About
Silver Lake Golf Course sits along Staten Island's North Shore, offering a scenic and challenging layout that is one of the five boroughs' best-kept secrets. The course has a classic layout with postage stamp-sized greens and narrow fairways. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the golf course appears shorter than it plays. The tight layout demands accuracy throughout especially on the lengthier holes, of which there are several. The course offers interesting risk-reward opportunities and holes 12 through 14 are considered by locals the "Amen Corner" of the North. The entire layout will test your shot-making abilities. In addition to the challenging round, Silver Lake is known for having consistently excellent conditions with some of New York's best greens, which is why it has garnered a strong following among local players.

Great Staten Island Course
It was my second time playing the course and it was much improved from the first time. I think they used the downtime provided by the pandemic to do some much-needed improvements on the fairways and greens. It’s a really great course to play and has nice yardage and good layout. I played twice early in the morning around 7 AM and then finished by 10:30 AM pretty amazing rate of play.

Way Overpriced
Much like all Staten Island courses, Silver Lake is overpriced. Definitely the best course on the island as fqr as upkeep goes, but $82 per 18 with a cart is a hefty price.

Solid course
Nice overall course, which is in good condition. Carts are in good condition with usb chargers. Bar cart comes around frequently, in addition to the full bar / restaurant at the club house. Course layout is a little tight at times. They could space out tee times more to prevent waiting but overall good course

Rude staff
Went to play with a group of beginners . The staff without saying a word to us previously told us not to come back because we were taking too long.The course was ok, average at best and with the rudeness of the staff they will not get my money or my recommendation ever again.

Longest round of my life
First time ever leaving a review because of how slow the pace was at this course. 5 hour and 45 minute round is just absurd and shows they either don't know how to book properly or don't know how to manage the pace of play. MY guess would be both. 4 group backups on tee boxes were very common so I got to talk to a ton of people!

Solid NYC Public Course
This was my 3rd or 4th time playing Silver Lake and I am always pleased by the round’s end. Started at noon and there was a lot of waiting involved, typical of almost any city course. Right now they’re aerating the greens which can bode for unpredictable putting. At the same time, the layout is short but nice with some elevated tee boxes and fairway undulation and average lengthwise when played from the tips. Overall, a good course for the price and the convenience and will return in the future.
