Silver Lake Golf Course sits along Staten Island's North Shore, offering a scenic and challenging layout that is one of the five boroughs' best-kept secrets. The course has a classic layout with postage stamp-sized greens and narrow fairways. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the golf course appears shorter than it plays. The tight layout demands accuracy throughout especially on the lengthier holes, of which there are several. The course offers interesting risk-reward opportunities and holes 12 through 14 are considered by locals the "Amen Corner" of the North. The entire layout will test your shot-making abilities. In addition to the challenging round, Silver Lake is known for having consistently excellent conditions with some of New York's best greens, which is why it has garnered a strong following among local players.

Silver Lake GC
Fun course but more needs to be done to speed up play. There were a bunch of imbeciles in front of us shouting and screaming the whole way round and they left beer cans at the tee box on every other hole. There was no starter or course ranger to deal with it. They brought the whole class of the place down. Otherwise, greens were in decent condition and course was well manicured for the price. The bus picking you up from Staten Island ferry is a great service but Paige the beer girl is the highlight of the course!

For a Sunday , it was alittle slow at first , but picked up after 9 , Great Day , Great Golf !!

Took too long to play 9 holes. Need to have rangers on course Foursome in front of me had at least an entire hole open in front of them.

A really good day
My experience at Silver Lake was excellant. The course was in very good shape. There was plenty of fresh water available, which was important because it was a warm day.

Staten Island's Gem!
Course is always in great shape. Greens are quick, but not too quick. Pace moves along quite nice as well. Challenging course but not overly difficult. Has been my go-to this year as opposed to the other courses on the island that are not in the shape that Silver Lake is in.

Come a long way
I used to golf here fairly regularly 15-30 yrs ago, conditions were not the greatest. Started playing on occasion with my brother in law last year, and they’ve really improved the course. The staff are generally friendly, and if you stay for a few drinks after your round the beer is cold and bar staff attentive.
It can be a tough course as some of the fairways are narrow, if you can’t drive it straight you’re in for a rough round. A little shorter than many courses, but can be challenging. Was disappointed the practice putting green isn’t in shape to use, wasn’t cleaned, no holes and flags.

Nice afternoon
Showed up as a single, joined up with 3 guys for a very enjoyable round. Pace was slow as some beginners were in front of us who where enjoying their refreshments. Course is a fun little track. Greens were in great shape! Will be back.
