Silver Lake Golf Course
About
Silver Lake Golf Course sits along Staten Island's North Shore, offering a scenic and challenging layout that is one of the five boroughs' best-kept secrets. The course has a classic layout with postage stamp-sized greens and narrow fairways. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the golf course appears shorter than it plays. The tight layout demands accuracy throughout especially on the lengthier holes, of which there are several. The course offers interesting risk-reward opportunities and holes 12 through 14 are considered by locals the "Amen Corner" of the North. The entire layout will test your shot-making abilities. In addition to the challenging round, Silver Lake is known for having consistently excellent conditions with some of New York's best greens, which is why it has garnered a strong following among local players.

Enjoyable
course is well kept and challenging. Everyone is very friendly.
perfect
it's wonderful area in town, nice old park, thank you
No leaves
$12 for full round via GolfNow awesome.
Staff did an incredible Job with the leaves .
Very professionally run
Course
Too many leaves I cant complain it's almost winter so i cant complain but if u charging top dollar than at least clear off the leaves
Great greens
Great greens for this time of year. They also do good job picking up leaves.
nice course
staff is very friendly. The fairway are wide and well maintained. Not a hard course to play.
Only complains: a couple of the holes are very wet, kind of muddy. A few holes have incline slopes, so hard to find the balls after you hit them.
Nice course for the money
Nice course and in pretty good shape for a public course. Tee boxes and fairways are a bit chopped up in certain areas but doesn't really affect play. Greens are in good shape. Excellent course for the money especially a hot deal.
Staten Island Gem of a Course
I've been playing this course for many years, I was not too happy playing 6 years ago, but since they invested a ton of money to restructure the fairways and the greens, I was impressed. the course is challenging but doable to experience and beginners. Now, I played this past Saturday and as for some players in front of me were complaining about slow play as you can imagine I was frustrated as well. I guess someone allowed a 6 person inexperience group play together. by the time we reached the 10th hole some decided to go home and some started the front 9 again, I decided to jump ahead to the 12th hole. I was not a happy camper, though I had fun the last seven holes,,
Worst back up I've ever seen
Tee time was for 9:30am. Didn't even get to check in until 10. Staff made some excuse about getting a men's club out, like that makes a difference. My car rental was due back at 4pm. You'd think 7 hours would be enough. It wasn't. Had to leave after hole 15. I won't be back.
No effort to run on time, ever.
I have played this course over 50 times. The course is in good shape. The problem, and it is a massive problem, is that Silver Lake does not even attempt to run on time. The last time I was there, they had sold tee times beginning at 6am. Unfortunately, the sun doesn't rise until 6:45am. I had the 6:45am tee time. When I got to the course at 6:30am, there were 5 groups waiting to tee off. This is typical at Silver Lake. Additionally, Silver Lake routinely lets 5 people play in a single group, which further slows things down. This would be a really solid course if management made any effort to run it on time or to manage the pace of play. Unfortunately, they don't care.
Great day despite the drizzle
The greens are back after being are back after being aerated and the course is in great shape.
Tight narrow track, accuracy a must.
Always nice coming back to the Lake where I spent many rounds playing this game. Caught sweet deal due to rain in the forecast and starting after an outing. First nine took 2 hours 40 minutes because I was playing behind two foursomes that were all at least 20+ handicappers. After the front, starter gave me the ok to replay the front to avoid slow play and finished in 1 hour and 45 minutes with my 2nd foursome. Course in decent shape but greens we're slow for Silver Lake standards. Always a great place to play and catch a meal afterwards.
