About
Silver Lake Golf Course sits along Staten Island's North Shore, offering a scenic and challenging layout that is one of the five boroughs' best-kept secrets. The course has a classic layout with postage stamp-sized greens and narrow fairways. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the golf course appears shorter than it plays. The tight layout demands accuracy throughout especially on the lengthier holes, of which there are several. The course offers interesting risk-reward opportunities and holes 12 through 14 are considered by locals the "Amen Corner" of the North. The entire layout will test your shot-making abilities. In addition to the challenging round, Silver Lake is known for having consistently excellent conditions with some of New York's best greens, which is why it has garnered a strong following among local players.

Golfer Reviews
Nice course but avoid playing after heavy rain
Silver Lake was otherwise a really nice, quick morning outing but very, very wet after almost a day and night of rain the day before. I teed off at 7:15 a couple of minutes after sunrise and played through (as a single player, riding) in 2,5 hours, which was nice but ended up missing putts by ridiculous distances due to watery greens. It wasn’t just roughs and fairways that were sogged - most of the cups were full of water as well and many greens had outright puddles. I was just happy to get out there and aside from its ability to drain water the course is simple, straightforward and spacious - perfect for my long and wide drives...
What you would expect
The course was muddy, sloppy ,wet and covered in spots with ice.....What do you expect it's January anyone who bad reviews because of course conditions is ridiculous. The staff is always friendly and my only complaint is the pace of play was slowed up by one really rude group who just wanted to chat and complain about the frozen tee boxes, get over it were not in florida. So to end this rant this is a decent track for a reasonable price worth stopping by. :)
Soggy
Completely mud soaked fairways, frozen tee boxes and greens , cups completely frozen to the top.
Nicest course on the island
This is the best keeped course on the Staten Island very well maintained . They also made some really great changes to the course the last few years I am very pleased with that . And I hear they have a locally made wine I will be trying this year .
Enjoyable
course is well kept and challenging. Everyone is very friendly.
perfect
it's wonderful area in town, nice old park, thank you
No leaves
$12 for full round via GolfNow awesome.
Staff did an incredible Job with the leaves .
Very professionally run
Course
Too many leaves I cant complain it's almost winter so i cant complain but if u charging top dollar than at least clear off the leaves
Great greens
Great greens for this time of year. They also do good job picking up leaves.
nice course
staff is very friendly. The fairway are wide and well maintained. Not a hard course to play.
Only complains: a couple of the holes are very wet, kind of muddy. A few holes have incline slopes, so hard to find the balls after you hit them.
Nice course for the money
Nice course and in pretty good shape for a public course. Tee boxes and fairways are a bit chopped up in certain areas but doesn't really affect play. Greens are in good shape. Excellent course for the money especially a hot deal.
Staten Island Gem of a Course
I've been playing this course for many years, I was not too happy playing 6 years ago, but since they invested a ton of money to restructure the fairways and the greens, I was impressed. the course is challenging but doable to experience and beginners. Now, I played this past Saturday and as for some players in front of me were complaining about slow play as you can imagine I was frustrated as well. I guess someone allowed a 6 person inexperience group play together. by the time we reached the 10th hole some decided to go home and some started the front 9 again, I decided to jump ahead to the 12th hole. I was not a happy camper, though I had fun the last seven holes,,
