Mountain View Country Club

Mt View has upgraded their course the last few years from when it was the Elks CC. Well done.

Early Oct round. Great weather. Greens were in fabulous shape. Went out in afternoon. Played front as a single and matched up with 3 retirees on back. Great afternoon of getting out to play golf.
The newer 12th hole is very nice and challenging!!

Course still needs to do something about #11 where total fairway is sloped on hill. You can hit straight down middle and it will roll off fairway to the left. Must hit right of the fairway for it to roll back down into fairway.

Good value for the money. Surprisingly good condition. The layout is a little quirky but enjoyable.

Do not expect very many level lies on this courses.

I got a great rate online! I have played this course a few times. The conditions were great, especially for October! The greens were still very fast.It is a tough course, with a lot of uphill and downhill lies. They are making some changes, but make it very playable.

It was very well maintained, and for this time of the year in pretty good shape, greens were fast. Will play here again.

Course was great condition. We had a wonderful time and will play there again. The mountain views were just beautiful.

Play on front 9 went well. Back 9 went slow because of slower players. Greens were rough from previous airrating at some point. The overall course was a nice layout and had some challenging shot placements. Had a fun time for the most part. Will play this course again as it is closer than some courses I play.

Mountain View is a challenging course. There are long par 3's and 5's. Many elevated greens that make the course play longer than its yardage. Course was in great condition. the greens putt true and fast.

Great course. Great conditions. Tee boxes, greens, and fairways all in very good condition.
Will play again soon.

This course is well kept. I'd say it's easy to medium difficulty. Fairways are wide. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I only play here when I can get a good rate from GolfNow.com because it's a little out of my normal price range, but I always enjoy it thoroughly.

I've played this course many times. Its a challenging course and a good test of skill.

I was paired with two other singles. We all had a great time enjoying each others company.

However, it seems as many courses in the area were stricken with greens damage this past winter. Many of the greens were damaged and they are aerating to help fix the greens.

Great value for a HOT DEAL time. I played for $15 plus tax.

Played Mountain View course on short notice and found an incredible Hot Deal to top off a glorious fall round.

The staff and management here really puts an incredible amount of effort into updating and maintaining this course. The greens roll perfectly true, and are more difficult than they look. They recently updated the layout of a few holes to get rid of the awkward doglegs and super short holes that used to exist. There are several scoring holes on each 9, but also several survival holes including some long par 3s to balance out the course. This is one of the best courses in Central PA.

Staff was very accomodating and although there wasn't a starter on this Monday I got paired by accident with two pros, Jeb and Dustin. Man, could they play and they were very friendly and tolerant of my weak mis-hits. I found the greens on this course very difficult but the rough around the fairways survivable. I really enjoyed playing alongside these two very good players. Oh yea, the course was in great shape.

While the course has lots of challnges and in good condition. we were disappointed that at check-in we learned we only had 45 minutest to play seven holes before a golf event would shotgun start off holes 1-7. No solution was offered (have us start on the back nine? delay the shotgun until other patrons cleared 1-7?). They blamed the problem on Golfnow! This is the second time something like this has occurred at this course.

I had been told by others that this was a course I had to play. I played it and it was OK. Nothing overly special. I had to drive approximately 65 mile each way and won't be in any hurry to drive that distance to play this course again.

Greens are very challenging for beginners as they are very fast and tilted front to back or side to side but great practice
