Old Hickory Country Club
Green fee: $27-$44
What they're saying: "What is not to like... A great layout with 5 sets of tees, & more combinations of tees outlined on the scorecard. Beginner / youth / shorter hitter play the front most green tees, you will be in a position on every hole to have fun. Up for more of a challenge? Combine the white and silver tees to play the "hickory combination" outlined on the scorecard. Low handicap player? Play the back (blue tees) and be ready to be challenged. This course has faster than average greens that have consistent speeds from hole to hole, old growth trees, demanding tee shots, small to medium size well protected greens. Play the tees appropriate for your skill level and anyone beginner to expert can play this course." - GolfPass reviewer -

Lakewood on the Green
Green fee: $20-$59
What they're saying: "Getting a low price made this such a treat. The course layout is challenging and matches that of many other Up North locations. Greens were true and fast. The front nine winds through rolling hills giving many variations in elevation. The back nine takes you around the lake and offers cool position shot holes, as well as elevation changes. The par threes are different lengths that force you to use different clubs. Lots of deer, herons and geese." - WolfLake -
