Greens Running True
Rich Maiden is always a golf course in good condition. The greens run fast but are quite fair. You never want to be on the high side of the green when putting. The fairways were in very good condition for early March. A few holes had you using tee boxes that protected the real tee boxes for when grass starts to grow which is fine. Overall, very good course and a great value. The pace of play was excellent.

Great course conditions. Always well maintained for a public course. Thoroughly enjoy playing here ever time.
Always in good shape. The greens will test your wedge and putting skills they are small and have slopes that will test your touch around the greens. One of the least expensive courses in the area! Give it a go!

Played a lot of affordable golf courses in Berks county. None offer the value of decent course, price, and pace of play.

I like this golf course
Yesterday was perfect weather. My regular playing companion was not available so I went unattached. I linked up with 3 others who were buddies. Didn't matter, we had a good time. I didn't play in 2024 due to some health reasons. So I was rusty. Didn't bother these players at all. They've played RM before so we could coach each other where we should land our shots. Coaching was better than execution for all 4 of us.
Watch out for tournaments!
Rich Maiden is a great course, has been around a long time, and always a fun play at reasonable rates. They do great by supporting local organizations and almost always have 1 or 2 tournaments every Saturday and Sunday. This time there were high school kids running around everywhere causing havoc, the greens were PUMMELED with un repaired ball marks, no ball washers anywhere, and pace of play very slow. You could also tell exactly when the tournament was over because every cart on the course was all of a sudden EVERYWHERE, including just about going over our tee box while we were in the middle of teeing off.
