Great course , good prices!
I remember playing this course 30 years ago and enjoyed playing it again the past few years once I took up the game again. Glad to see it is still around and in great shape. We keep losing courses to housing and I hope this one is around for another 30!!!
Course in good shape
Overall course was in nice shape and greens were very good and fast. Pace was nice as it was fairly crowded on a very nice day, There are a few holes where leaves are an issue but the majority of the holes were cleaned up.
Great course
One of the best courses in the Harrisburg area. Greens were tough, fairways were great shape.
The Sportsman
The course is a great value. Not too challenging but not too easy. Pace of play was excellent! A little over 3 hours for 18. A lot of work is being done to the course but the staff stays out of your way. Bring some bug spray! It was a great round if you are vacationing in Hershey, PA I highly recommend playing here.
Simply the best!!!
Honestly I can't say enough about this place. The people, the course, and the atmosphere are top notch. The grounds are kept very nice and for the price might be as well be the best value around! The staff is always super friendly, I have only been there a few times but I feel like a regular when being checked in always greeted with a friendly smile you get the feeling they really appreciate your business...unlike other places out there. If you are looking for an exceptional round of golf or just looking to fix your swing on the range this is the place for you!! I think I found my new home course :)
Poor Customer Service
I played Sportman's Golf Course more times than I can remember. I purchased a lot of Group Golfer's coupons and was excited to see Sportman's participating. Win win for me and them. I'll come back more and they will have my business. The coupon I used clearly states one-time use, one day only for golf and golf range. I'm a 56 year old male who would rather not go to the driving range before I go golfing understandably. Last week as I attempted to play Sportman's, I was sad to know that they weren't opened, so I rescheduled for today. With coupons in hand and clubs at the ready, into the Pro Shop I go for an 11:00 tee time. When I handed my Group Golfer coupons to the clerk and explained to the clerk that I would prefer to NOT go to the driving range and would prefer a token for the driving range to return another day, he coldly explained that this is a one day coupon clearly stated on the coupon. With so many other golf courses for people to spend their money at, I think customer service is going to keep customers rather than offend them for visiting your golf course. I paid for coupons on good-faith and the services could have been met. Understandably, Sportman's doesn' t understand customer service. I won't be back.

Sportsman's Golf Course is a layout that will be an enjoyable challenge for any level of player. The course conditions were very good tee to green.The bunkers could use some work however. Narrow fairways on a few holes reward accurate tee shots. There is a well stocked pro shop as well as a comfortable grill room. The staff was helpful and friendly. I could see this being my home course if I lived in the area.
