Great course. Some rough conditions.
Course has always been one of my favorites in the area. Its early in the season yet and I expected the conditions to be a little rough. Green and fairways airerated so putting was a little inconsistent. All in all the course is still great and for the value of the round I cant complain. Cant wait to play again this summer.
Conditions were terrible
It was really hard for me to tell where the fairway and the rough starts because the grass conditions were awful.
Really did not enjoy this course at all. Would not recomment even for $10.00.
Biga
Course needs a lot of work pretty torn up in the greens are being treated
The best golfing value in south central PA!!!!
Got snowed out last week; this week proved the adage that good things come to those who wait. Good people, great course, and great friends all add up to a special day at Royal Oaks Golf Club,
Front 9 twice
I know it was the hot deal but was very disappointed only the front 9 was open. I get it that there was a lot of rain but having known only the front was open we probably wouldn’t have gone there.
Not in bad shape considering the time of year and excessive rainfall the last few months. They advertise food specials like burgers and tenders at the turn, but didn’t have any prepared when our entire foursome wanted to buy them. The quality and friendliness of staff is always hit or miss, and I’ve played here dozens of times.
Interesting course
Very fun course, lots of different looks.
Only drawback was singles and doubles behind us.
We let 2 twosomes play through, they were followed by another twosome and a single.
Hoped they would have paired up.
Always a fun round
Given the troubles that the weather has caused, the course is in good condition. Flooding caused some damage but relatively little impact on playability. We drive from Harrisburg and really feel like its worth the trip!
A Fun Experience
Dodged the rain and the course basically to ourselves. Course is in fine shape with the exception of a few "dead" patches of grass on a few greens. I asked about it, it was a moss that got in a few greens. They killed the moss and are now in the process of getting the few small patches growing grass again. The course is a nice layout, with a variety of holes. There are some interesting risk/reward type of holes. Clubhouse house nice TV's and a full bar after your round. Food is not bad as well. It was a fun experience all around!
Nice quiet course like a country club
Excellent course. Nice greens and course kept in great condition. Pro shop is well maintain with a lot of items. Bests I have seen. Beats most pro shops including Country Clubs.
Nice layout
Course has a nice layout. Greens were a little rough for being June, however, the fairways were like hitting off carpet.
Nice course
Staff very considered. Lost a club and the starter went looking for it. Found the club. Nice pro shop and golf course. Back nine have some challenging holes. Enjoyed the round of golf. Will return to play. Pro shop has a lot of items to choose from
nice course greens roled good. navigation around can be a bit confusing if first visit. weather was perfect
I love this course. With all the rain we have had this year (record rain fall) it's amazing how they have kept the course in good condition. Yes, there are a couple of holes (understandably) that have water and mud but nothing that stops my from playing this great course.
