The Poconos Club

This course is usually in decent shape for a municipal course. However, with the current lack of rain and what appears to be extremely limited watering on the course. Most of the greens are still okay but you can tell they are drying out and becoming concrete like. The tee boxes are mostly dirt and like another reviewer, they require a hammer to get the tee in the ground. The fairways are sparse and so dry the ground is cracking open. Any sort of slice or draw is exaggerated because of the conditions.

Hopefully some water on the course will fix the issues but stay away until that occurs.

Good overall condition. Will only get better with irrigation repair.

Fairways were so parched the dirt showed in dozens of places and it was so dry it was cracked. Tee boxes were horrible and you needed a hammer to set your tee. Greens bounced anything landing on them into the woods and the grass (what there was) “crinkled" as you walked on it. Sad because it’s a nice track with a challenging layout. I won’t be playing again till we get some rain or they fix whatever watering problem they were having.

Played for the first time in probably 15 years and was totally disappointed. The course was totally burnt out (fairways, greens, tee boxes). It was a shame i enjoyed this course in the past. We were also stuck behind four groups that were way to slow. Took almost three hours to play nine holes. We skipped all of them and finished without seeing another golfer. Luckily this was a group golfer deal so did not spend a lot. If I had payed full price I probably would have asked for money back.

Fairways could use a little attention - very dried out in places.

This is a great course that’s very interesting, has a qwirky layout and some good holes that put an emphasis on whee to put the ball.

Always fun to ply and at a price thts hard to beat.

The course is not even remotely close to walkable. The commute between holes was not a traditional layout. Spent too much time in the cart between holes.

The course itself plays nice. Fairways and tee boxes could have been better maintained.

The staff is incredible. Friendly, accommodating and all the things you’d hope to have in a golfing experience.

I would play again, but I have played more highly maintained courses at similar or lower price point. All told, I would play again if in the area but would not be dedicated to the course.

Tough conditions due to lack of rain. Ball was running off hard fairways and greens. Hard to get tees in the ground. Excellent pace and always a good value. Things will improve when rain returns

This is a great course and fantastic value for money. Conditions were much better than you’d expect from a public course. Very well worth a visit
