Golfer Reviews
Beautiful views / Great Value
CCP is a great value. Fun and Challenging layout, wonderful drive in between holes, fun day in the Poconos
Best course I've ever played
This course is absolutely gorgeous. It winds its way through the forests and the hills, and it makes for beautiful views on every single hole. And between holes as well, because you drive through forest between holes. Because of that, a cart is pretty much required, you can't really walk this course. It's also much more interesting than 18 holes of straight fairways that a lot of courses feature; every hole seems to have some sort of unique twist that makes every single one of them an absolute joy to play.
Conditions when I went were perfect. It was a nice sunny day, but it was the day after a few inches of rain so the ground was a little soft. Even so, it was well managed. Pace of play was a little slower than the posted 4 hours 30 minutes, but back to back foursomes can do that, so I wasn't worried about it. It meant I got extra time to enjoy the view.
It is a pretty difficult course. But with a slope rating of 135 from the far tees, that's to be expected. High handicap players (30+) may struggle here, but it's worth playing as long as you don't get too stressed out.
I live about 3 hours away, so I don't have easy access to this course, but I'll definitely be back someday.
Challenging but fun w/beautiful views!
Have played here numerous times. A must play at least once. The cart drive for 18 holes is 16.9 miles! Fun time. Friendly staff.
Always fun
Love this place! Price is always right and I drive 1 hour & 45 minutes to get there. Very interesting holes & very scenic. Lots of cart path & roadway., but it's a beautiful ride. Course was in very good condition for this time of year. Greens need another week or 2. Fairways arenin good shape and surprisingly dry enough to use the 90 degree rule. All staff were great and a pretty good selection of beer!
Worth the trip
Great day of golf- beautiful setting with great view. Greens are recovering from aeration & were slow. Staff was friendly.
