Mountain Golf is the best
Everything about this course is a number 5 this course was very challenging I pulled off some good shots and missed a few but had a wonderful time
Staff and course are fantastic
The golf pro, Kevin, was a one man show! He did everything from the pro shop, to the bar, to cart return. Course was in great condition and my friends from Maine loved it. They can’t wait to come back and play it again.
Perfect day 4 18.
Course was undergoing aerating so it was a bit rough today and it must have rained because some holes you had to stay on cart path, no big deal. One of my favorite courses.
Greens
Great course, only thing I didn’t like were the mini greens. A lot of them were way to small for the hole. Hole 16 5 stars awesome view, awesome hole.
Awful course design
This is by far the worst course I have ever played. I honestly think few of the holes are in a different zip code. The distance between the 5th hole green and 6th holes tee box is about one and a half miles (I’m not exaggerating). 16th and 17th hole are also about a mile apart. There are few other ones but those two really stood out as extreme. You will spend as much time driving the golf cart as you will playing golf. The cart path takes you through neighborhoods and woods. The layout and design of most holes is absolutely ridiculous. It looks like they cleared out a forest on a mountain side, built homes first and then used any leftover land to fill in 18 holes. Fairways are narrow with trees on both sides. There is barely any level ground. Many blind shots. I’m not a great golfer but I can play most of my rounds in the 90s. On this course I gave up on the score after 5 holes. If the fairways are difficult then at least the approach shots should be a little easier. But instead it’s mostly into tiny, elevated, uneven greens with an average of 4 bunkers surrounding them. The holes were cut on uneven parts of the green. Our whole group was unanimously disappointed. Hopefully reading this will help some of you avoid this frustrating, time wasting, pitiful excuse for a golf course, because somehow it has a good rating on GolfNow.
Great day of golf.
A course we 4 play when ever we ate staying up here. Wonderful day of golf. Very good golf course to play. It's a must play if your up here.
Best little secret in the Poconos
Course is in great shape, the staff is very friendly and the best part is on Tuesdays it’s only $25 for 18 holes including cart.
Beautiful course, but tough
This was my first time playing the course. The course requires course knowledge. There are a lot of elevation changes and a lot of high tees hitting to a lower fairway (or rough as I frequently found). Beautiful course, but very tight. Played the blue tees (5,808 yds), but it played much longer. The par threes were quite long. Just about every green required all carry...no rolling up. Plus it must have rained all week. The course was very wet and therefore, no roll. The fairways were narrow and the rough was thick. The course is not very forgiving. It appeared that they were not able to cut the fairways or rough for a while, but had just cut it so there was clumped grass all around. The greens and sand traps were nice. I would say that carts are a must. There are a lot of hills on the cart paths, and there is a long distance between the holes. Only got thru 15 holes before the skies opened up. Then the course was standing water and we quit for the day.
Nice landscapping
The course is beautiful to look at. The day we played the course was very wet.... not blaming that on them. Had to run 14 miles of golf paths thru 3,4...5 housing developments to complete 18 holes. Thank god for the arrows painted on all the roads or I'd probably still be trying to find the clubhouse. The greens are very nice but spongy soft. Chipping and putting.. no roll out on the greens at all.. We had to hammer every putt and still couldn't get them to the hole. Par 4 's & 5's where you had to lay up with your tee ball. Not my style. We finished at 6:05 and snack bar was closed since 5pm. We were told there was a beer cart. There was NOT. We took (2) waters each with us but after 5-6 holes we were look for the beverage cart. We had nothing to drink. 1 and done . Sorry Mark
good shape in august
staff is good . course is challenging. conditioning is very good. should have a hotdog stand.
The course seemed to have problems with a leaky sprinkler system and a low priority maintenance level. Lay out is decent of course except for the 5 miles of extra driving in the cart to get from hole to hole. It has the potential to be so much more
