Course unplayable.
Showed up and holes 1-8 closed. Nothing on Golf Now and nothing from the course after we booked. Temp greens on other holes with greens chemically burned. Should not even be booking tee time. Guess my booking fee is down the drain. Poor all around Golf Now
Greens are dead...
Play was slow, but expected with an outing on the course. The club stated that the greens were being aerated, which isn't true. Looks like someone used RoundUp in every green with nothing on the greens, but sand and marks from foot traffic and vehicles. Couldn't make it pass hole 6 due to the conditions which were the worse I have seen anywhere. I won't be playing this course for a long time and it is unlikely the greens will be good this year unless they rebuild them from scratch. Words cannot describe how poor the greens are right now.
Where are the greens?
The greens were terrible or non-existent. Why would golf now allow a booking with this location? Very disappointing .
DO NOT PLAY TIL FIXED!
Let me preface this review with a comment that CCP is usually one of the best courses in the Poconos. However, that being said, the course is simply unplayable due to the shape of the "greens". This is NOT a typical greens being aerated or anything, it is destroyed greens. It is impossible to putt, and this is terrible because it is normally very good. We paid a Hot Deal price and i have never felt as ripped off on the site. If i paid a quarter of what we did i would have been ripped off. Do not pay anything on here to play until they get the greens fixed, and my guess is, that won't be until next season, at the earliest.
There was no warning of this and again as you can see from the pucs, it is not aeration. I hope it gets back to where it was, but not a penny shall be spent until it is, and you should not do so either. The four of us agreed it was all of our worst golf experience ever.

Greens Cooked
This is a beautiful course and an incredible layout. Unfortunately the course messed up theirs chemicals they used on their greens and they were completely destroyed. It would’ve been nice to know this prior to booking the tee time and traveling there.
The damage is significant and will likely take years to repair. Once fixed I’d definitely play there again but be sure to confirm if they are better before playing.
Something bad happened.
The course is unplayable. Something happened to the greens they’re all dead. It’s too bad because the course can be a lot of fun but it is impossible to put with any reasonable assurance of consistency.
Great course, but the greens were dead...
2nd time I've played this course and loved it! The only downside was almost every green was dead... The staff said there was a pesticide issue. So everything looks so green and lush, besides the greens. So unfortunate. Regardless, it still is a great course with many scenic views and challenging holes.
Non-existent greens
The green were non-existent. Basically a patch of dirt. This should have been listed on your website so people know the conditions. We would have never played there. Cost to play should have been significantly lower. Conditions and price use to be much better
course was good
course was in good shape considering all the rain, greens were slow bo very well taken care of.
Worth the drive...
We drive down from Binghamton NY twice a year (spring and fall) to play CC of the Poconos. The course conditions are always good and the staff, cordial. The views are spectacular and the course layout, sound. With as much as a 3 minute cart ride between some holes, walking is not practical here. And once you leave the clubhouse, you won't see it again until the 18th hole. As such, make sure you get your beverages and snacks before hitting the first tee. The course winds through a development, so pay close attention to the arrows on the roadway that guide you along. That said, the houses don't come into play and aren't even visible on most holes. I'd like to comment on the bar/grille, but it never seems to be open when we're there. That said, the clubhouse is quite nice. This course is worth your time.
Always a pleasure
I was cautious about booking initially because it was in the Poconos and the weather is usually cooler and lags behind the Lehigh Valley. I was very pleased with the conditions so early in the year. Half the greens had been top dressed but the puts ran quite well under the circumstances. Overall, the entire course was great considering the season. I will be visiting a lot this season!
My all time favorite
This course is a must. It doesn't matter who you are, where you're from. If youre able to check out some courses in Pennsylvania... this is either the first or saving the best for last. The elevation changes on this course are extreme and honestly, you'll enjoy every second of it. Believe me, you'll want to check this place out. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, the greatest cart paths I have ever driven on!!
GREENS ARE DEAD
Course in great shape until you get to the green. Someone must have not knew what they were doing and sprayed the wrong chemical. Greens and fringe are completely dead.
Beautiful
Loved the course. Fairways and greens were great.
Only downfall was cartpath only, course was pretty wet.
Country Club of the Poconos
Course was cart path only, which was not advertised as on GN. Many holes were very wet and almost unplayable. Greens were in good shape and rolled great. Speed of play was very good, but still 4 1/2 hours. Distance between holes takes a lot of time.
