Mount Airy Golf Club
About
Situated amidst the beautiful Pocono Mountains, Mt. Airy Golf Club sprawls across lush rolling hills covered with lakes and ponds. There are also wandering streams that cut across the course. This demanding layout requires accuracy over distance with tree-lined fairways and a wildly undulating terrain. Golfers will be faced with tricky uneven lies as well as several blind shots. Water hazards also come into play on several holes. The golf course is challenging but high handicappers should not be too discouraged since it can also be quite forgiving, especially on the fairways, which offer some room for error. Mt. Airy is a demanding course, but the interesting hole designs are fun to play and the beautiful setting will make the round worth it even if your score is less than perfect.

Super slow do not play
I've played here 2 times. The pace is play is horrible and they won't do anything to help. Avoid this course - which is a shame because the course itself is fun/interesting/challenging. Not worth the 6 hour pace of play though.
Great day Great course!
Played with family on a nice summer day. Greens were great. Fairways were very good. Holes layout was very good. Elevation changes were fun. Hole #1 is a beast one of the hardest opening holes that I have played judge for yourself. I feel that this is one of the best value courses in the Poconos for your $. Give it a try you will see for yourself.
Nice Course But Needs Targets For Tee Shots
This is an interesting course, but without a guide you will hit a lot of drives through fairways and into woods. I hit 5 beautiful drives that I either had to take a penalty on or chip out from the woods. I don't know if the course yardage book tells you where to aim off the tees. If it doesn't, I would skip this course. Other than that, it is a fun course to play, especially if you play it more than once.
Outstanding course layout, with unparrelleled views and challenging holes. Wonderful course, can't wait to play again.
Great course
Starter was friendly, pace expectations set up front, course was in great shape. Beautiful views, highly recommend playing Mt Airy.
NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY
Staff very stoic and minimally interested in answering questions. No family cart accommodations or junior clubs to rent. If you have more than one kid who plays, this is NOT for you. Choose another resort and course!
Great Experience
I love this course. Every hole is well designed and beautiful. Every shot a challenge. Conditions are as good as you could expect, tees, greens, fairways, etc., minus the bunkers, which could benefit from some attention, though they were imminently playable not in step with the rest of the course. I played with my girlfriend, who is a decent golfer and it beat her up pretty good. The ladies tee boxes in many cases are not much different than the men's. I would say it is not a female friendly course as far as yardages go as well as the forced carry second shot on 13 over a large chasm. It is now a new favorite for me.
Nice but needs work
Played here for the first time and let me say the conditions were great. Greens were perfect and barely had any ball marks. The fairways were lush with just a few bad spots but with the heat wave recently that’s not much at all. As for the architecture of the course, I’m not having it. We played from the tips and some of the tee boxes made it impossible. There’s trees literally at the front of the tee box that makes the shoot so narrow to hit through. It alters your shot to the point where you’re going into the woods even after hitting a straight shot. Lastly, a lot of the bunkers have seemed to get away from them. I’m not sure if they are converting them to grass bunkers or just left them in disrepair. That’s really the reason why I gave it a 3 and not 4.
Mount Airy (scary is more like it)
This course is WAY TOO HARD for an average middle handicapper. Greens are not reachable most of the time. Shooting blindly downhill or uphill is not @ all enjoyable when it would take the precision of a good pro to score on this course. The concept of the course is great, but I had no fun at all playing this course. As a 13 hcp player I felt like I was beaten up by the end of the round. I will never play this course again and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else either!
Great course but starter was rude
I have played this course before and never had an issue, i booked 2 golfer through golfnow, my friend and i were early. we could not get a cart to go get our clubs , the bag drop was full. they paired us with another 2 some, which is fine but the they were sharing 1 set of clubs. actually, they were part of 6 younger golfers who were sharing 3 sets of clubs. they were supposed to go with us but immediately started with the 4 some of thier friends behind us. needless to say that slowed play behind us. i dont think they should have been allowed on the course w/o clubs of their own.
Great staff
When we arrived the staff was very nice. The coarse was in great shape. The greens were as good as any private coarse. We played the round in four hours. When we paid we were advised on the policy of slow play. I am the type of person who hates waiting. Great round. Thanks
