Northampton Valley Country Club
About
Northampton Valley Country Club, proudly owned by Northampton Township, the golf course first opened in 1963. It is well known among locals as one of the Greater Philadelphia area's best courses. The layout has a classic design with tree-lined fairways and gently sloped greens. Several strategically placed bunkers lurk along the greens and there are a few water hazards that come into play as well. The par-70 golf course is a manageable 6,400 yards from the back tees. It's a traditional design that is player friendly enough for all skill levels but there are risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to low handicappers. In addition to the golf course, Northampton Valley has a driving range with new range balls which is open to the public and a 10,000 sq. ft. practice green with a pristine sand trap for patrons to work on their short game.

Disappointment
Had heard good things about the course, so I drove 75 minutes to play it. I was hugely disappointed. The layout itself is unremarkable. The course conditions were ABYSMAL. Chewed up tee boxes, weeds and bare spots in the fairways, bunkers were generally in good shape but the greens were horrible. Very bumpy and did not roll true. I doubt I will ever play here again.
First time this year
Have not played there in over a year. It was nice to be back.
Staff was great. Course was in really good shape and the price was right, thanks to Hot Deal
Very well kept fairway and greens
Little to no chunks of fairway missing and greens rolled excellent, pin placement very practical.
Fun course in great condition
Course was in great condition, has fun layout with water and sand. Great value with hot deals and afternoon rates. Be aware the fairway bunkers are being redone.
Course is in Good Condition
The course is in very good condition. I appreciate that they are watering the greens and they are holding approach shots. They are a little slower than normal but that is much better than being burnt out and hard as a rock. Staff is always friendly. There was drinking water on the course to refill bottles on a steamy day.
Nice Course … Fairway Bunkers All Getting Overhauled ….
Free Drop …
Unless U Get a Hot Deal it’s A-Lil Overpriced !! (Covid) ??
Nice after Play Bar/Resturant
A little Blah
The course is in very nice shape overall. The tee box from the back are in very good shape as are the greens. Greens were a bit soft and on the average speed side. The fairways were on the soft side so they must have a tremendous irrigation system as it hasn’t rained much this summer. The course is in a neighborhood so it doesn’t have much extra land to work with however the holes are separated enough where you don’t have golfers on different holes crossing paths. It is a course on the easy side to play. Very difficult to lose a golf ball as there is no woods however there are tall pines blocking each fairway from the other but you can play under them to get back in play. It is also one of the easiest courses to walk as all tees/greens are right next to each other. The course gets a lot of play and we did have to wait on just about every shot but that being said we played in 4 hours on a busy friday. All in all there are many more interesting courses in the area but if you are within an hour it is worth it for the value
Even the drive into this course is enjoyable. After the two opening holes which are straight and short give you a chance to get the bugs out of your swing, the rest of the course offers a subtle mix of holes to score on or struggle with.
The sand comes into okay just enough to catch a barely mush it shot and the few water holes that they have are just enough to get in your head if you a lose your focus.
Pace of pkay was great each time I played here
Fast pace until last 4 holes
Solid layout. Course was in good shape besides the fairway bunkers which are all under repair and are pull and place. Greens are fast and it was difficult to hold the greens on a lot of them but they were true. Pace of play was great until around hole 14 where at one point there were 3 foursomes all at the tee box. Never saw a ranger or a cart girl. Bar/restaurant is very nice and food and drinks were great. For the price of a hot deal I’d go back. Anymore is not worth the 40 minute ride for me personally
Course is in Great shape and Staff very friendly.
Fairways and Greens are in great condition. Very well kept.
