Northampton Valley Country Club
About
Northampton Valley Country Club, proudly owned by Northampton Township, the golf course first opened in 1963. It is well known among locals as one of the Greater Philadelphia area's best courses. The layout has a classic design with tree-lined fairways and gently sloped greens. Several strategically placed bunkers lurk along the greens and there are a few water hazards that come into play as well. The par-70 golf course is a manageable 6,400 yards from the back tees. It's a traditional design that is player friendly enough for all skill levels but there are risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to low handicappers. In addition to the golf course, Northampton Valley has a driving range with new range balls which is open to the public and a 10,000 sq. ft. practice green with a pristine sand trap for patrons to work on their short game.

Slow play
Group in front of us was playing very slow. We waited on more than most of the tee boxes. When I approached the ranger on front nine, he brushed me off and did nothing to improve pace of play and I didn’t even see him approach the group at any point during the round. I also had maintenance employees cross in front of multiple shots and they were on almost every hole during the round. Check in employees, starter, bartender and cart girl were all great though. Course was in pretty good shape overall.
People really need to fix their ball marks on the green
Great round
Really great spot in Bucks County. Rate of play was a bit slow but it was 91 degrees. Fun challenging course. So I’ll be back. Just which the cost was a little more feasible.
A good day out
For a very hot day the pace of play was good up until 11 then it slow down to a snails pace by 14 and the opened up as people left. Course was in good condition with minimal areas under repair.
Sold public course. Some harder holes mixed in with some easy ones overall a well balanced course. Good conditions and a friendly made it a pleasant, fun day.. overall a good, solid course that is worth playing.
Overpriced and arrogant
$80 for 18…. Where there are many more alternatives, albeit better alternatives around. $80 overpriced for an average, short, and way too narrow course. The range looks like awful in the net, overall practice facilities are terrible. Bad customer service. The rough looking like it’s from Oakmont. They need to shave it off.
By the way, I only played nine and they refused to reimburse me for half of the price. They wouldn’t even give me a credit for a shirt or anything. Overpriced, overrated, and arrogant. I’ll stick to my NJ courses.
Staff is friendly
Staff was super friendly, course is challenging but not too challenging, and the pace of play was how I expected for an early time on a weekday
Very good front nine. Back nine slowed to an extreme. Sounded like it was a foursome three groups ahead. Thankfully the next start behind us was an hour behind. So as much as we had to wait we had plenty of time to play around on the previous green.
Great experience first time there.
The starter/ ranger was great and kept everyone moving at pace. Was happy to get all 18 holes starting at 430. was a little wet so cart path only. Great walking course. The practice putting green is way to advanced for regular practice before a round.
