Northampton Valley Country Club
About
Northampton Valley Country Club, proudly owned by Northampton Township, the golf course first opened in 1963. It is well known among locals as one of the Greater Philadelphia area's best courses. The layout has a classic design with tree-lined fairways and gently sloped greens. Several strategically placed bunkers lurk along the greens and there are a few water hazards that come into play as well. The par-70 golf course is a manageable 6,400 yards from the back tees. It's a traditional design that is player friendly enough for all skill levels but there are risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to low handicappers. In addition to the golf course, Northampton Valley has a driving range with new range balls which is open to the public and a 10,000 sq. ft. practice green with a pristine sand trap for patrons to work on their short game.

Course always fun to play, Except when....
Would of been nice to know they were fertilizing the greens. Like putting through pebbles and gravel. Heads up on course condition would've been nice. I called and asked about aeration but now I know to ask about fertilizing also. Yes, I will play again still like this course. When in season very nice.
The hardest greens ever
Love the course but the greens are so fast I couldn't sink a putt all day. When your used to fast greens it's great but unfortunately I never play greens this fast so my putting was awful. I was so worried about speed I payed no attention to which direction the breaks were.
Beautiful weather!
Not a cloud in the sky, matched up with a twosome, had a good time, just about a 4 hour round. Teed off about 20 minutes early as there was an opening.
fine day of golf
well kept course as always. Greens are deceivingly fast so be prepared.
Valentine's Day
8 AM tee time, a little soggy in spots, cart path only, paired with a young man walking. 18 holes in 2 hours and 45 minutes - not rushed nobody in front of us - just played the game using "ready golf" - one of the more pleasurable rounds I have had.
Great All-Around Course
I play many of my rounds here. The staff are all helpful. Pace-of-Play can crawl at times on the busy days. It's usually slow through the first four holes then opens up a bit more. The course is always in decent condition. Weekend/Summer rates are often over-priced so look for a deal.
Don't underestimate the greens here. They hold well, but play lightning quick most of the year. Tons of subtle breaks that most people can't see.
Actually it was the first very heavy frost of the year, course was white when I got there so there was a frost delay of over one hour. Started on the 12th hole, not a problem but for some reason they put the two of us behind a foursome - which play remained somewhat slow until we could jump past them at hole #1. Finished the round in about 3 1/2 hours.
Northampton Comments
Conditions of the course and weather were excellent for a 1st of December round of golf in the northeast.
My score could have been better but it was not due to the course. I had a great time!
Great Public Course - Northampton Valley CC
You won't find a public course in the Philadelphia Region with much better overall Greens and Fairways than Northampton Valley CC (NVCC). This "forgiving" course is still a challenge for all levels of golfers, and
is a better maintained golf course than most other public courses. Great scenery, great value, and great Greens that roll true.
Great shape late in season
Not a leaf to be found on the course. Now that’s a lot of maintenance for this time of year Course in great shape and pace of play was perfect. Seems the lounge is closed for the year or maybe just weekdays. If you’re looking for food and beverage, bring your own . I’d go back.
Great course
A little pricey unless you can find a “hot deal”. But none th less a great course. Sometimes the pace of play is very slow would be the only possible negative comment I could make. Even if you call the clubhouse on a slow play group they will take send a ranger out
Sneakily Tricky Course
Northampton is a fine public course in Bucks County. On this day, the greens were very fast and firm, while the bunkers lacked some sand and were tricky to play out of. Overall though, it's a good course and the holes are very fair, offering players good chances at birdie, especially on the two par 5's. The final three holes get a bit interesting closing with a challenging par 3 over water. Normally, it costs $61 to ride 18, which in my opinion is too pricey. The twilight rate ($35) is much more reasonable. If you can find a tee time for under $50, then pull the trigger. Just make sure you get some putts on the practice green before teeing off.
Golf at Northampton
Course is in excellent condition. Greens were fast. Although the course is not conducive to my ball flight, it is a fun place to play. Had a good time. Played the round with 3 strangers and it just so happened we all had about the same skill level
Good value
Greens were in good condition but the speeds seemed to vary and slow down around hole 14-15. Not sure what that was about. Got a deal for $35 and this course is a solid value at that price point. Bunkers could use some more sand, but that's similar to most public courses.
