Northampton Valley Country Club
About
Northampton Valley Country Club, proudly owned by Northampton Township, the golf course first opened in 1963. It is well known among locals as one of the Greater Philadelphia area's best courses. The layout has a classic design with tree-lined fairways and gently sloped greens. Several strategically placed bunkers lurk along the greens and there are a few water hazards that come into play as well. The par-70 golf course is a manageable 6,400 yards from the back tees. It's a traditional design that is player friendly enough for all skill levels but there are risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to low handicappers. In addition to the golf course, Northampton Valley has a driving range with new range balls which is open to the public and a 10,000 sq. ft. practice green with a pristine sand trap for patrons to work on their short game.

Northampton Valley
First time I've played in 3 years. Did not remember a lot about the course because there was not a lot to make it memorable. In decent shape for December, they've removed most of the leaves. Being the first group out in the morning and playing as a twosome we got around the course in 2 hours 15 minutes. Since we got around so quickly we thought we try to do a replay seeing that the course was not busy at all. When we inquired about the replay the told us that we had to pay 'full rate' since our original tee time was purchased through GOLFNOW and not from the course. Doesn't GOLFNOW purchase the tee time from the course an resell to the public? We declined to replay since they wanted full rate. I can't believe they think that highly of their course and that they didn't want to give us the replay rate instead of having us walk away leaving them with no one playing. Probably not going back for at least another 3 years.
Beautiful course
Beautiful course in great shape and it's November nice layout with plenty of challenging holes
Wish they offered more deals
This is one of the nicest courses in the area. It has an interesting layout and is pretty challenging for a high handicapper like me. When I'm hitting them good this course is fun. When I'm not, it's still fun. There's enough varied terrain and forced carries to make you think before striking the ball. I keep looking for the good deals, otherwise the greens fees can be a little steep.
Pleasantly Surprised
Drove almost hour and half to get to the course on somewhat windy afternoon. Course is maintained well and "Love" those greens which were fast and tricky. All par 3 were challenging distance of over 190 yards especially on windy afternoon but, fun. Definitely want to come back for more in near future.
Slow round due to best ball tournament
I completed 15 holes and it took over five hours. I did not appreciate finding out that a best ball tournament was occurring that morning. Will likely not be playing there anytime soon in the future. Too bad as the course is laid out nicely and has some challenging holes.
Late season gem
Played this course and was pleasantly suprized by the conditions. The fairways were in great condition and the greens were like glass. The only things I could have an issue with is that players don't make the effort to repair their ballmarks (and that isn't the courses fault). I will add that the could have been a little shorter(what high handicapper wouldn't want that).
hidden jem
Course conditions were far better than expected. Will soon play again.
Good course
Fast round, course was in good shape and the staff was friendly. Will play there again
Shot makers course, thinking required
Not the longest track but you must be accurate with tee shots. Certain landing areas are implemented which forces you to use certain clubs. Course conditions were pretty good despite the current drought in the northeast. Teeboxes, fairways were in decent shape and putting greens were deceptively fast. Staff is friendly as friendly can be. Was glad I made it out here while in the PA area.
Over Booked
The course is set up nice and in good shape, but they apparently consistently overbook leading to an extreme amount of time standing around and waiting. The pace is thus extremely poor, expect at least a 5 and a half hour round.
Great Value - A Good Challenge
We've played this course 3 times this summer; after driving 45 miles one way to get to it. The course is excellent for short hitters with a number of holes giving you a short iron option into the green #1 being the first of several). But there are some long par 4s (#8 and 10 for instance) that play hard. A good variety of challenging par 3s (#5, #18) with length and again difficult targets to hit. #7 as a par 5 with a narrow sloping left to right fairway is a good challenge. Practice area is netted and not that long; mats don't allow you to hit driver. Small practice green and bunker are adequate unless a lot of people are there. People are very nice and professional in their manner.
All in all, it's a very good overall experience and...hit Taorminas for lunch or dinner after the round; just up the road. Great Italian.
Must play
It was a great layout and course conditions were pretty good for August! Will definatly come back to play! There are a few "course knowledge" holes but overall a very nice staff and a enjoyable day on the course a challenge but friendly layout!
Greens
The greens on many hole were in poor condition. Must be diseased because I never seen these greens with big black blotchy areas.
Greens are awful
Played here over 25 times but on 8/12 played my first round here of the summer. Tee boxes were decent but not great. Fairways were great. Greens were absolutely awful. They have brown spots all over. Completely dried out and diseased. Very disappointing as NVCC charges a very steep peak time rate. They need to fix their greens!!!
Give it a try
Played because of a great deal with Golf Now. Course was in good shape although some puff the greens were pretty beat up. Nice layout, some good risk-reward holes. We had an enjoyable round but couldn't get anything to eat because of an outing, well that's what we were told. Don't understand what an earlier outing has to do with current paying customers so deducted a star.
Better every time I play there
I've played this course at least 25 times and this is my 1st review. From Vin on down, his staff are friendly and accommodating. The greens were great, the course was clean and sharp. The bar area had good food and drinks with a friendly atmosphere. This course has gotten better every time I play it. Good job fellas
I played here 5 days after you posted you played, greens were absolutely horrible. Diseased all over. Not sure what happened. Very disappointing.
Nice day
This is a very nice course and the people working there are great I would recommend this course to all golfers
not worth it
handicap is 10..........5 1/2 hours without ranger at 73 bucks......would not recommend

Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
Litter over 5 hours to complete a late morning round on a Monday. Seemed to wait on every hole. If a golf course is able to book excessive rounds during a weekday, then it's a good sign of business. Can't complain too much since I booked a sweet deal of golfnow.
