Course Review
This is a very nice course with a good layout, nice fairways, and greens that are very well maintained. The pace of play was excellent in that I played in 3.5 hours for 18 holes. I definitely recommend this course.
Tough Course
This course was in almost perfect condition and very challenging. It is like playing on an elevator: I have played on steep courses locally (Glenn Mills, Rolling Green, Radley Run) and this has more elevation ups and downs than all of them. Can't wait to get back here when the weather is warm and try to beat my previous score. The high number of dog-legs vs other local courses force you to play more strategically. Great challenge.
Course has some Nice holes
I think its Well kept and a petty Good value for your money compared to other near by coures .I will say though i Used to play this Course Auite a bit when i lived down the street its been 7 years since i moved but i n really No other golfers playing with me are crazy about the 2 short par 3s together on back Especially the 2nd par 3 !
JUST OK
The sand traps are in great need of soft sand. They seem to have made half of each fairway heavy grass. The way the heavy grass was my wife had a rough time reaching the short fairway grass areas.
Spring Hollow
It is always a pleasure to play at Spring Hollow. The back 9 is rather challenging with several forced carries. The staff there is always incredibly friendly.
Good mix
Course is solid. Nice assortment of gettable and strong. Hope to play again after some rain when they can cut the greens
nice course
very nice course. some challenging holes and then some holes are very gettable. will play here again for sure
Something a little different
I played this course for the first time with a buddy on a Monday morning. I had read the positive course reviews and it seemed like good value. We had a very nice day. But one thing you need to know is that there are many blind shots on this course! As a first time player, not knowing the course and not being able to see where you should aim your drive or to see the ball land causes a certain amount of hesitation. I’ve not seen a public course quite like it. But to be clear, it is a good, fair layout. Quite hilly. Greens are good. A few forced carries, but mostly you can find it and hit it. Playing on a Monday morning, it was quiet out there. We got around in 4 hours despite not knowing the course or frankly being very good golfers. The staff was friendly and efficient.
Good value
Good course, well taken care of. Greens were fast, good mix of pars 3,4,5.
Very hilly course with some tight tee shots
Mostly a forgiving course with a few quirks: arguably no room for a draw on Hole 1 off the tee, multiple greens are so elevated that approach shots are relatively blind, and back to back par threes on the back nine. That being said overall it is fun to play, but because of the elevation changes it plays longer than the yardage.
Great Friday morning round
Starter made experience go from good to great. Gave kind advice and suggested starting on the back 9 which saved us an hour.
