So so course
First of March so can’t expect great conditions. Played this course several times and it is a good course. $25 all day, can’t beat it.
Good family owned course
Like playing this course for the price on golf now. Course was not to bad compared to couple weeks ago. Greens were buckled on outside were it was dry. But they took time to fix that issue. Overall a great time.
Worth the Ride
Other than the tee boxes being a little sparse or uneven, the fairways were in very good shape and the greens were consistent!!
Would play again
Considering it is a ride and play course for $49 at prime tee times, I can't complain. Staff is super friendly, the views are great, some serious rains this year left some of the greens with bare wet spots around the edges. But the tee boxes and fairways are well maintained. Not alot of sand or obstacles so it was nice easy play for the average golfer.
My experience at Pleasant valley golf course
I always enjoy playing Pleasant valley. The fairways were in good condition considering how late into the year we are. The staff members deliver a high level of friendly and professional customer service.
Question on slope rating
According to the scorecard, the slope rating gets down into the low 100's. This is very inaccurate. The course is quite hilly and probably should carry ratings in the 120's if not around 130.
The Delaware beach courses, which are flat as a pancake carry ratings in the teens so you know Pleasant Valley in Pa has to be higher than that by a good margin.
Excellent Service
Great staff. Very nice course that was also challenging. Would highly recommend
Incredible bargain
One of the huge advantages of this course is that it drains very well. It rained very hard for a few days including the same morning before I went to play. But by the time I arrived, about 1.5 hours after the sun had come out, the course was bone dry. The greens are very uniform however they are quite slow.
Target practice
So many tee boxes were placed in the line of fire from other golfers. Need to update course. Tee boxes eeee as hard as stone.
Pleasnat Valley
Not having played this course since 1996, I was extremely pleased to find the conditions at what used to be an average course. First off, the weekend deal is outstanding: Breakfast, Lunch, Golf with cart for $39??? Unfortunately they ran out of breakfast food so I was only charged $33 for the round. Tees and fairways were great, Greens were shaggy but with all the rain (3" in the first 5 days of the month) it was understandable. They were true and played a lot of break. The layout is still tight, pace of play was a bit maddening. My only criticism ( and I am a regular blue collar guy) was the allowing of 4 drunk country boys with only 2 sets of clubs, to play a round of golf. Glad they got booted after 9 holes- good job by the staff to act on the complaint. Food was great- like a diner on a gold course. Glad to see beer served there- nice to finish off a round with cold one. Will be back here.
