Poor Greens
Had to play on temporary greens which are unfit for putting.
Repairing greens
Played this course several times a while back and this time they were making repairs to the greens and had temporary greens set up so that’s why I rated them lower. They are a great course when they are fully functional. I would recommend it to friends but I would wait till next season to play them again.
Course is not worth it
Course was not good at all. Temporary greens on all 18, leaves all over and not much of a tee box. Course was not very well maintained. Won’t be back here at all.
-I've played this course before and have had a nice time playing it. Perhaps this one is on me for not checking their website beforehand but all greens were off limits so half of the sport was stripped from us out of the gates. But for the price we paid I can look past this. Unfortunately, it seemed the grass and leaves had been untouched in a number of days and we lost numerous balls in play, many in the middle of fairway! I've got a soft spot for this course in my heart so I'm hoping this is a freak occurrence but it may be worth a phone call in advance to check in on course conditions.
No Greens
I was very frustrated to get to the course to learn that there were no greens. Apparently they had an infestation and had closed them to recover. So they put temporary greens 20 yards in front of the regular greens. I get it. Gotta do what u gotta do. But that’s also something a customer should know going in. There should have been some kind of a warning on the golfnow/teeoff apps to let the customer none of the conditions. There’s been other courses that post warnings about when they’re doing aerations. When u asked the clerk at the course I was told that golfnow would not allow them to post a note. Someone’s at fault there, not sure who but to the course and to the golfnow folks a better job HAS to be done by both parties. Driving an hour+ away from home to find this out at the course is unacceptable!!!!
Temporary Greens
Booked not knowing the lost every green and played temporary greens, kinda bummed, hope they get them back.
Course is awful
Everything in terrible condition, greens are dry and hard as a rock, will never play here again.
No greens
They are working on the greens now but when they are fixed this will be my favorite course
Very nice course
First time playing this course and it was very nice. The only down side were the conditions of the greens which players were made aware of. Did cost me a couple good putts. Will make a point to play here again.
Greens
Booked on GolfNow but found out after booking that greens have been destroyed by insects. Course website was honest with players but GolfNow did not make that information available. Did not have the option to cancel since it was a Hot Deal.
Course in very bad shape
I played here a few times a couple months ago in the Spring and the course was great. Unfortunately it has not been taken care of. The grass is way too high, there are weeds all over the fairway and greens, and the greens have large cracks in them as though small earthquakes tore the ground apart. Sand traps are as hard as concrete and cannot be used.
We were also waiting for the people in front of us to play so that we didn’t hit up on them and as we were waiting, their ranger came up to us and was very rude. He told us we were “slowing down the entire course and we better pick it up”. We pointed to the group in front of us that we were waiting on and then he said “I think I’m warning the wrong group” then drove off. Regardless, that little encounter made our foursome feel very rushed (even though we then had to wait again to take our next shots) and the rest of our day was pretty miserable, filled with talking about how we should have done a different course.
Greens were bad
Lost balls in the fairway and greens had cracks in them
25 wasn’t worth it......
Not happy at all about this course. Even at 25 dollars I was ready to walk off after the 2nd hole.
Great layout. Greens and fairway were hard as rocks.
I’d throw a dart from 80yards out and land in the front of the green watch the ball jump 25 feet in the air and roll off the back of the green.
Greens sounded hollow and were dried and cracked up really bad. They should close down and do some serious repair
Staff was very friendly and had no issues with them.
Maybe next year
The tee box and greens were in deplorable conditions. It appears they do not have an irrigation system. Water could have saved this course.
Challenging and fun course. Could use some TLC
This was my first time playing this course so hopefully I’m not judging it unfairly. The lack of a practice range and the only practice green being under repair isn’t great and the “practice box” will have you dodging your own ball if you want to warm up before teeing off.
The holes vary a lot in length with some par 4’s easily driveable like the 1st and some par 3’s pushing 240 from the whites and some par 5’s being reachable in two mixed in with some nice dog leg holes..
Not a lot of tree or water hazards which was nice. You can definitely swing hard off the tees and not have to worry about a tree blocked shot being 5-10 yards off the fairway.
The greens were a total disaster. Despite a couple days of rain prior, they look like they haven’t see a drop of water all summer. Huge cracks and bald spots all over. The tee boxes weren’t much better and the sand traps were like almost dry cement.
In a little better condition, this would be a great little course to play but definitely could use some TLC for the cost.
