Played golf
Course was empty, played 18 holes on 2 hr

For March course was ok
Was cool and very windy
Excellent course for the money
Been going to this course for a couple of years now. Excellent course for the $$$ and the staff is awesome.
Underrated course
It’s a very underrated course. Very quiet area and scenery is great. Rates are normal for the surrounding area but is definitely one of the nicer ones for the price. Definitely recommend trying if you never have.
Course is getting very rough
Have played here about 20 times over the years. Ownership is wonderful, but the course has really deteriorated. Tee boxes have never been great, but are now just concrete weed boxes. Fairways are becoming the same. Greens are decent, but have various dramatic bad spots. Traps were actually ok.
If you are used to playing at a well kept course, you'll be very disappointed.
Decent Course
Decent course. I enjoy the layout, most holes are pretty forgiving. Greens are in the best shape they have been in all year, but the fairways and tee boxes are painfully hard. I feel it’s a bit pricey for what you get but all in all it’s a decent course
Friendly Family Course
Course is nice for a fun or practice round. Friendly helpful staff. Tee boxes were rough with crabgrass and not level. Fairways were very hard and rewarded accurate drives with huge rollouts. Iron shots like hitting off hard pan. Greens were LUSH and in great shape but extremely slow for a good golfer to pace. Price point of this course draws inexperienced golfers and a slow pace of play. A FUN ROUND AT A VALUE PRICE!
Great open course
This is a very open, forgiving course that allows you to “grip it and rip it”. Most holes are wide open so if you stray from the fairway you still have a shot. It is budget friendly which is very attractive. The two main issues are the tee boxes Are rock hard and you actually hurt your wrists placing tees in the ground. Forget about the plastic ones as they bend too much. The greens are rock hard, so play accordingly.
First time in about a decade or two.
It's been a long time since I've played this course, in fact I barely remember it. However, I do remember it being a little rough. It seems to me that ownership is trying to make improvements and I believe this course has great potential. The layout is a little quirky and it's a little bit close quarters, but very playable.
Work On Those Tee Boxes
Overall....a great round at Pleasant Valley...BUT....Next time I'll bring my Hammer Drill. Over the winter, they need to tear ALL the boxes up, and replace them. It was ridiculous trying to get a tee into the ground. Other than that? The course is in phenomenal shape for as much play as it gets.
Good value
Worth the drive to play PV for the value. Greens were in good shape with just two that have some spots. A couple of tee boxes were spotty but overall the course was in good shape.
Pleasant Valley
Perfect name and the staff was delightful from the front counter, ranger, cart beverage attendant, and food counter attendant. We were a twosome and paired with a younger man and wife. They were a good match and made for a great day if casual golf and laughter.
This is a great golf course
My wife and I live in Maryland and we will drive to PA to play in this course. We enjoy everytime we are here. Very friendly staff. Good hot dog. We love coming here.
Worthwhile Course
PV has fixed most of the tee boxes that used to be in bad condition. One major complaint, PV has taken away all the water stations. Greens in really good shape. Had my best round there, 83.
