Country View Golf Club is situated just 20 minutes north of Providence and just south of the Massachusetts state line. Its convenient location in the Blackstone Valley area is easily accessible from several major highways. The course sprawls across rolling terrain with beautiful trees lining the fairways. It's a player-friendly golf course where you won't find many bunkers or water hazards. Accuracy is needed though to navigate past the many trees and the undulating terrain provides a few tricky uneven lies. Country View G.C. finishes with a tough uphill par 4. This intimidating hole has out-of-bounds to the left and trees on the right and the trouble doesn't end there. The second shot climbs uphill further to a narrow, sloping green. You can try to go long but that can make getting up and down nearly impossible, it would be safer to go short and left.

Nice course
Really enjoy playing here, the pace was slow and the fairways are getting very dry.
Slow pace of play
We were able to start a few minutes earlier than our tee time but that did not help since the course was overcrowded. There was a group of 5 playing in front of us but they were not going anywhere since there was a wait on every hole except the first two. It took over 4 hours to play 12 holes at which time the skies opened up and we were not able to finish. Very disappointing and will not return there again.

Greens and fairways in real good shape.
Decided that even though it was Saturday I would play a round of golf with my son who hasn't played much.
Found a hot deal for 9 holes at this course and decided to play. Staff was very friendly when we arrived and we played the front nine which is easier than the back nine. Perfect nine for my son and we enjoyed the course and created some great memories. Probably go back again toward the end of this week and play 18.
Course was in very good shape and pace of play was perfect..All nice people on the course.
Thanks for offering the late afternoon deal. We live 20 miles away and it was worth the ride.
Greatvalue
My wife and I played 18 holes in 3hrs and 15mins. Greens were in great shape and fairways were green but a little hard. Great way to spend an inexpensive afternoon.
Nice short open course, could be better.
The course plays short, greens are ok, fairways are dry watch out for exposed rocks (several), very dusty.
This is a fairly open course, could use some maintenance/improvements, hard to hold greens.
Price for this course is a bit high, I would play again to get a better feel, but only on discounted rates.

It was fine. Green where hard but that is due to lack of rain.

A most pleasant round of golf out in the country.
A couple of rough patches here and there but overall a nice place to play. Excellent greens
Country View
I play this course regularly. Excellent course for taking new golfers unless you get stuck near the oldies but goodies. They get angry if you're in front of them or behind them and this course is loaded with them. They're very slow but want you to play faster go figure. If not for them this course is well worth the money. In great condition and the staff are very nice including the rangers who have to ask you to speed up or slow down given the complainers have been playing there since the first blade of grass was grown.
Great Staff
The conditions are the best I have seen at this course.
You were rewarded when you hit the fairways. The grass in the rough was thick and made you pay if you did not make a good swing. The course has improved incredibly. The staff is the nicest and most accommodating of any course I have played.
Tougher back nine
Pace of play was slower with many seniors. I respect people who still play into later years and hope I can when I'm older so not a big issue with me. #1 handicap hole should be hole 15. I like the course, very laid back.

Good for the money
Tees and Fairways in good shape except for 7..Greens not so much.....Good value for a hot deal price...but not full price
Pleasantly Surprised
I have played here a few times over the last couple of years when visiting RI and thought the course was okay. The course yesterday was in good to very good condition, with the greens pretty challenging. Some of the tee boxes could use a little TLC. The staff was friendly and professional. Overall a very good value.
Good course
Course was in great shape for the time of year! The price was great! Took only 3 hours to play!
Fair & Hard (not difficult hard)
The course was fair, good condition, but exremly hard, but not as in difficult. Greens and fairways were fast. Traps unduly hard sand. Overall a pleasure to play....slowly due to inattentive rangers.

Not a bad course. Greens were good, tee boxes needed to be moved more- pretty bare in the back nine. Fairways need some water, lots of dry brown spots. Overall has potential
Congenial atmosphere and enjoyable course
Congenial atmosphere and enjoyable course. Was paired up with a lovely couple. A lot of blind drives. Course was in pretty good shape except that the 13th hole was like playing in the sahara - the grass hadn't quite made it up to that hole yet. Will play here again.
