About
Country View Golf Club is situated just 20 minutes north of Providence and just south of the Massachusetts state line. Its convenient location in the Blackstone Valley area is easily accessible from several major highways. The course sprawls across rolling terrain with beautiful trees lining the fairways. It's a player-friendly golf course where you won't find many bunkers or water hazards. Accuracy is needed though to navigate past the many trees and the undulating terrain provides a few tricky uneven lies. Country View G.C. finishes with a tough uphill par 4. This intimidating hole has out-of-bounds to the left and trees on the right and the trouble doesn't end there. The second shot climbs uphill further to a narrow, sloping green. You can try to go long but that can make getting up and down nearly impossible, it would be safer to go short and left.

5th Hole, 329 yards: Two bunkers guard the front of this green; large falloffs around it can also be problematic. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/28/2025
-
6th hole, 475 yards: Six, a short and strategic par-5, may cause headaches when your ball travels past this tricky green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/28/2025

A 386-yard par-4, nine is a fine test with a green that runs downhill from front to back. It’s a tough GIR. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/28/2025

At this par-5 of 514 yards, missing the second shot–into this cross-hazard in the foreground–is not beneficial. Nor is being short of the green on the third shot. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/28/2025

Fourteen is a beautiful, short par-4 that doglegs left. A draw is the ideal shot off the tee. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/28/2025

17th hole, par-3, 199 yards. I really like this seventeenth hole: it is long and slightly uphill; but it also plays to a small green flanked by bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/28/2025

Great Shape
Had an early morning tee time around 650. The course is in great shape and greens very well kept(most likely from all the rain we've had)! Only down side was the pace of play & lines. We had a slow group in front of us and there was no marshal present to regulate pace of play.
Also no starter at the beginning to control pace of play either.
Other than that, great course. Would highly recommend booking an early tee time for this popular course.
Nice day to play
This not, not will it ever be, my favorite course. I just do not like the layout. That being said,it was a delightful day to play. I got hooked up with three good guys, which made the day that much better. The staff were terrific. As for the course, the greens were slow and many of the tee boxes were in tough shape. There fairways and rough were in good condition.
Very slow play
Did not finish round due to foursome ahead that was extremely slow. Waited on every shot. Ranger would be helpful or allowing our twosome through would have been nice.
Enjoy a round of golf on a not too fancy course
Course was in descent shape overall - greens especially were in better than average shape - ball rolled nicely. To the good folks of Country View - Keep up the good work - the old track gets better as the years roll by. thanks
A few blind dhots
The front nine is significantly easier than the back nine. Overall course conditions were good.
Great value....
The course is in average condition like most courses this year due to the drought. We were paired up with a couple that plays here all the time which was great since we never played here before and there were some blind shots and trouble spots you need to know about in order to plan your shots (mostly on the back nine). The pace of play was perfect no issues at all and we played on beautiful Saturday at 11:00. It looks like they're working on making the course better some constructtion was happening around tee boxes and greens none of which slowed done play. We would definitely go back you can't beat the great deal you get from golfnow so it's well worth the drive!
Videtta Family Touches Make This Place A Nice Treat
If you are looking for a solid "throw back" place to enjoy golf...look no further. The staff treats you like gold and the wonderful greens make up for a place that has done well to survive a difficult period of heat/drought...the maintenance crew has been working overtime to keep this course more than respectable. I would recommend this place for all levels of players...a good place for "family" golf...if you're a low handicapper or fast player you need to get on the course early or you can expect a little wait between holes...the ranger did come out and was doing his best to keep play moving...nice touch...was able to get around the course in four hours on a Sunday morning...and had a lot of fun doing it...some challenging holes to make it interesting...would go back for an early morning round in a heart beat...great deal with Golfnow...
Friendly
From the get go the staff very friendly plus local golfers very helpful
Slow pace of play
We were able to start a few minutes earlier than our tee time but that did not help since the course was overcrowded. There was a group of 5 playing in front of us but they were not going anywhere since there was a wait on every hole except the first two. It took over 4 hours to play 12 holes at which time the skies opened up and we were not able to finish. Very disappointing and will not return there again.
Greens and fairways in real good shape.
Decided that even though it was Saturday I would play a round of golf with my son who hasn't played much.
Found a hot deal for 9 holes at this course and decided to play. Staff was very friendly when we arrived and we played the front nine which is easier than the back nine. Perfect nine for my son and we enjoyed the course and created some great memories. Probably go back again toward the end of this week and play 18.
Course was in very good shape and pace of play was perfect..All nice people on the course.
Thanks for offering the late afternoon deal. We live 20 miles away and it was worth the ride.
