I have played this course many times. While it is conveniently located, and was designed by a famous golf course architect, the fact of the matter is that it is crammed into too small a parcel of land and the risk of errant shots coming from adjacent holes is quite high. I'd rather play elsewhere.
Great Course
Wonderful course with great fairways and greens. Specifically placed fairway bunkers and fescues make for a bit of a challenge off the tee with nice rewards for striping it. Elevated and multilevel greens call for precise approach shots with some of those bunkers and fescue surrounding the green with tight pin locations. Would recommend to any golfer looking for a links style course with a challenge. Hit em straight!

Pro Shop Attendant and Cart Attendant aweful!!
I work and have worked in pro shops for 20 years, these guys are the worst customer service people I have ever met. They are rude, obnoxious, jerks and they treat people in a manner that should cause them to never come back. They should be fired plain and simple. I will not come back to this course until I see reviews saying they have changed their attitudes or have been replaced!!
Do not do Twilight Golf Here
I purchased a 2 golfer Golf Now 6:00 PM tee time through the app. I showed up and went to check in at the clubhouse and the lady working the counter was not very pleasant once I said I had a 6:00 PM tee time. She said “the way it works here for twilight is it’s first come first serve and we do not honor online purchases.” So I simply asked why there was something on Golf Now for a 6:00 PM tee time then? She had no clue but said she couldn’t do anything for me. So I said well I already paid so what are you telling me? She asked to see the email confirmation from Golf Now which I showed her, she then asked me to show her that my bank account had been hit for the fee I payed through Golf Now which was a $1.50 difference from their price and she said “those aren’t even our prices.” She said you will have to wait in line like everybody else. We sat on the tee box for about 45 minutes waiting to tee off to play 9 holes. I will never play twilight golf here again, as that was the most ridiculous system I’ve ever seen at a golf course.
No good excuse for rudeness but it sounds like you should complain to GolfNow since they sold it to you. I’d ask for my money back or dispute the charge with your credit card issuer. If Triggs was wrong GolfNow has more power to get it fixed. Good luck.

Course was good, but it was very slow. We had to wait on almost every hole. The round took 4 hours and 45 minutes.
Why do I come here? Is it because I only live 5 minutes away? it seems like every time I come it's a song in the dance.
The website publishes twilight hours at 5 p.m. when I show up at 4:30 I'm told check back at 5:15. I checked back at 5:15 and I'm told to check with the ranger to see if the league is done. The ranger doesn't know so after waiting over an hour I decided to leave. 50% of the time I go there it's a song to dance so I don't think I'm going to go back again. There are better courses for better value if I drive 25 minutes away
Most public courses rely on leagues on weekday afternoons so this is not surprising. Best to make a tee time to avoid disappointments like this.
Not playing here again
Course is a dump, awful conditions, the sand is rocky and dense, there’s about 10 difference kinds of weeds growing all over the course, and every one of the staff members are miserable.
Hidden gem
Triggs Memorial is a championship Donald Ross course that is worth every penny even without the discount..
Worst customer service of the many golf courses I have frequented in my golf life!!
I’m very surprised by this review. I golfed here last week and the cart attendant couldn’t have been friendlier. I even saw him on the course and he asked if we were enjoying ourselves. Something else must have been going on here for this reviewer.
