Course didn’t honor Golf Now booking.

Course has consistently gone down hill on upkeep and conditions.

I called the GC before arriving and they do not accept the GolfNow reservations. Be aware.

I paid through golf now and then found out the golf course did NOT ACCEPT Golf Now even though you accepted my payment. So, I am out $24+ and didn't get to play golf at all........

I was passing through on my way to Newport RI and booked 9 holes. Upon arrival the man "working" the pro? shop asked to see my golf now receipt. I pulled up a screenshot on my phone. He said he needed the actual receipt. I retrieved my confirmation email and he wasn't satisfied with that either. He scoffed at the booking price and made some comment under his breath, then complained about golf now's rates. I told him that his employer entered into a contract with golf now and it wasn't his place to make disparaging comments to paying guests because he wasn't happy with the arrangement. He said he couldn't tell if it was with a cart and I told him it was. He balked again. I provided him with the golf now customer service # and told him to call it to verify with golf now if he still had a problem. I told him that he clearly needs to polish up on his hospitality skills and that it wasn't my problem or concern that he was having a bad day (as he stated). Unfortunately the course was in no better shape than he was, however the greens were fairly decent.

They are using golfnow, as a bait and switch situation. Nothing but a problem, I have used golfnow for a few years, never been treated like, I had done something wrong. Not at all welcomed, had no idea, that my reservation included cart. Two hand written signs posted in pro shop, requiring, golfnow reservations, require, your credit card receipt, not willing to honor my email reservation on my phone. I lost interest in playing, after the crap scene, had driven an hour, to try the course because, they mentioned new ownership, and improving condions. Do not bother.

They could not access your system I had paid 3 dollars owed 25 had to pay 30 cash because credit did not work either ,pro shop was great golf.now was not !

This course does not honor nor accept pre paid times from golf now that are made before certain times. Meaning, you pre paid for your am tee time on a Saturday and show up to the course, surprise, you now are at the course with no other real option but to pay their rate. I pre paid $45 for my round and showed my payment. They did not care and told me I had to pay their rate $60 or else I couldn't play.

Terrible service, rude guy at the pro shop.

Don't even get me started on course conditions. Terrible terrible conditions. Half the holes have no grass but instead dirt. Two of the holes it's like hitting at a driving range. No real challenge. The starter drives around looking for golfers who have coolers and will take your cooler away. This was my first and LAST time I will ever play here.

Great staff and pace of play. Greens and fairway in top shape, rough could use some work. Will not find a better price for layout and conditions

Felt uncomfortable the moment we stepped into the pro shop as the man working berated us, spoke over us every time we tried to ask a question, cussed, and then proceeded to charge more than the amount on Golf Now. When asked why it was more he again got upset, said he can charge whatever he wants and pointed at a piece of paper with a note about not using golf now prices on certain days/times that was written in marker... Course looked good other than the fairway bunkers and large patches missing in the rough areas, pace of play was good.

Booked while on vacation, when I arrived they asked for more money for a pre paid $48 time…. Course isnt worth $10 for 18 , rocks and dead grass everywhere, cant tell if they have bunkers or just let the woods cave into the course.

The course is in vastly improved conditions from several years ago. Fairways are in great condition. Greens couldn’t be better, and there is actually grass growing in the rough areas.

Kudos to the new management for the fantastic efforts they have put forth to bring this course back into favorable conditions. I just hope the improvements don’t bring huge crowds that may diminish the favorable pace of play we recently experienced.

Friendly and professional staff...most accommodating. Course needs work but the new ownership is on the case. Excellent layout and can see this course charging double once the renovations are completed.

Lost my towel, they called me and are mailing it back to me! How is that for customer service! (I live 90 miles away,)

I'll never return to this place again. New ownership has destroyed a course which had a lot of beauty and tradition. They have been tearing down every tree in sight for two years. . Turning the land into a bald, feature-less, blah landscape. They have no distance markers and have chopped down all of the trees that provided aiming points on blind shots.. All of their membership has left and gone over to another course nearby.. All this course needed was for an owner who would inbest in a fairway aerator and to get overseeded to shore up all the grass.
