Good Golfing Day
It’s been a couple years since I’ve played here but the Greens are in good shape Great golf course friendly staff.
I like to play here when i want to play 9 holes. I call it Mountain Golf. The course is up and down and the only course I have ever played that has signs posted: Steep Grade Ahead. You don't see that often on a golf course. I love it though...long vistas.
Played here 20 times. Its probably the best shape its ever been in. The greens were awesome. Only thing is it was 90 plus degrees and there was no cart driving around serving drinks. This is a plus to people who play in the heat. Just suggesting this.
Beautiful views and wildlife!
Beautiful course that is well maintained. Gorgeous views of Kentucky Lake and saw lots of wildlife on course!
Great November Day
Had a great first time playing the course, greens were quick but consistent. Will definitely play again
Very nice course with a few hills located in a forrest. There a few holes with beautiful views to Kentuck Lake. The greens are very fast and challenging. The value for money is very good.
Nice Leisure Stroll
Course was in great condition considering the time of year and amount of traffic on it. Solid course all around.
Solid state park layout
I've played many of the TN Golf Trail State Park courses, and of the ones I've played, I liked this layout the best. Challenging, some great views of the lake, lots of elevated tees and elevated greens. Conditions early in the year were very good, but the current bent greens suffered late in the hot summer. June 20, 2016, the course will be closed to completely re-sod the greens with Champion Dwarf Bermuda, which should improve them a lot. Will re-open in Sept, 2016. In short, layout and staff are excellent. If you've been there and were disappointed by conditioning, give it another try next year. Cabins in the park are very nice, BTW -- good for a buddy trip.
May 2018 update: The greens have been redone, but are still young and VERY firm--hard to hold the elevated greens, and some have been redone with border-line questionable tiers. Conditioning is still an issue, after a hard winter and a very wet spring. Layout is still great, though, and the staff still very friendly.
I was excited to play the course as I had heard it was beautiful. The setting is amazing. The condition of the course however was atrocious. My recommendation would be to pay for nine and drive out to the fourth hole and play it nine times. The one and only high point of the day. Very disappointed.
great corse for the money..staff is excellent!
love to play it, challenging for high handicapper....people make the course...
