Twelve Stones Golf Club

Reception, proshop etc was very good. Clubhouse is a very nice building, but only the pro shop and locker rooms open.

Course layout was a bit odd, you go past the 10th tee to get to the first tee, but there are no signs that identify the tees.

Some of the fairways had some bad damage from sleds over the winter. This did impact playability on a couple of holes. The greens were a real pleasure.

Lots of natural beauty and wildlife, this is a great setting. When this course is in top shape it will be breathtaking.

I highly recommend giving this course a try. Great value.

The greens were torn up on half of the holes. Fairways were destroyed on tons of holes. Cart path only made it a miserable experience. The restaurant isn't open on Mondays so there is nowhere to get food or drinks other than the minimal selection offered in the Pro Shop. Wouldn't play here again with someone else's money let alone my own.

Course was in great shape aside from a couple beat up tee boxes on some par 4s and 5s. Way too many notifications from the cart about CPO rules, and we don't need to know about kids winter sledding messing with some hills.

Twelve Stones is coming around nicely. Tee boxes and fairways are in good shape, greens are quick and rolling pretty true. Down hollers are very fast and will roll out if missed.

$80+ fees with these conditions should be criminally punishable. Legalized theft. Agree with other reviews, multiple fairways “damaged by sledders during the freeze” and are literally void of grass. Understand that’s unavoidable by the course, but rates should reflect course conditions. If you value your money, play elsewhere.

Not to mention, one of the rudest staff members in the clubhouse I’ve ever encountered. Want to overpay and feel like you’re a burden to the staff? Wait no longer, book your tee time today! (Sarcasm - don’t play here.)

The green conditions were horrid but I was told they recently replaced them. The routing is questionable and some of the hole designs will make you scratch your head. I did not enjoy playing his course. And at the course rate ($) … for the overall conditions, pace of play, and course amenities … I would not recommend 12 Stones to any of my friends.

Twelve Stones is a much improved but very challenging golf course. The owners are currently in the process of improving the course as well. The course is very challenging with the hills, creeks, and tricky greens but is far and away the best course in Sumner County, TN and one of the best semi-private courses in the Metro Nashville area.

The location in the Tennessee hills with its elevation changes could have made for a great course, but the course conditions were terrible. Many hole with large dirt patches and an uphill par 4 that was almost completely dirt. Greens had some no grass spots that were painted green. Heard they started a reno last year so hopefully it grows in thru the summer, but cannot recommend at this time.

Fun course. Good layout. Visiting from out of state and would play it again in a heart beat!

Tough, risk reward golf course. If it is your 1st time playing, pay close attention to the GPS in your cart or on your smart watch. There are a few holes where you cannot see the landing area and there is hidden water or out of bounds if you hit the ball too far. Really great course, once you get to know it.
