Twelve Stones Golf Club

Nice course that seems to have been upgraded over the treats. Not A long course but it does present some challenging shots.

The staff was very friendly while we were there. The course was in pretty good shape for winter, some tee boxes were hard, most of the tee boxes are uneven, Fairways were in nice shape, the greens rolled smooth and were quick especially comparing to the very slow practice green. The bunkers, most of them needed work as several were unplayable. The pace was extremely slow as it took just over 5 hours for the round. Most holes had two or three groups on them.

Course was in great shape for February. However, pace of play was absolutely horrific. Spread tee times out, and charge more if need be, will not return here unless this improves. My 3-some, which often can get in under 3 hours, took over 5 hours for this round. Horrible horrible horrible pacing.

Course knowledge is very important here because the course is a tricked up wind through the out of bounds posts. Let’s start with the good. The staff was great, the range is fine and there’s even a shag range. No complaints there. The layout is flawed, real estate developers didn’t leave enough room for the course and as a result you’re constantly in someone’s backyard. Number 2 for example, it’s a blind tee shot down a hill with a creek crossing the fairway. The fairway is slanted hard left to right so I smack a nice fade down the left side of the fairway. Get up there and the ball is nowhere to be found. I don’t mind being penalized for bad shots but there’s nothing more demoralizing and frustrating than being penalized for good ones! There are some good holes but the rub of the green is everywhere at this place.

It was cart path only and damp/cold out. Taking that into consideration, it was still a fun round of golf. This course plays much different when its wet and plays much longer. We enjoyed the day and the course was in good shape.

Coming along nicely, rough conditions kept me away for most of the year. This will be a regular once again for me.

The opportunity to practice at an indoor facility on a trackman is not readily available to the amateur golfer and Twelve Stones has offered a solution to that. For a very affordable price, you can practice like the guys on tour no matter the weather. Staff is very friendly and amenities are second to none. I’ll be booking again very soon.

I have not played this course in 15 years / moved to the other side of town. Based on reviews I was concerned but today I was Pleasantly surprised. Many of the bunkers are being worked on - looks like they may be trying to figure out drainage issues. Greens and tee boxes above average. The layout and uniqueness of the holes is what I like most. You will use just about every club in your bag. Give it another shot if you have been disappointed in the past.

Course is all hills. Tees in bad shape, greens are in fair to bad shape.

This is probably the 5th time playing at 12 stones. It’s always in great shape. The GM (Chase) and the staff are always accommodating. I will be returning soon.

This course was very enjoyable.. Read other reviews they must have played a different venue. the staff was extremely friendly pace of play was good, this course is in good playing condition. after the round had a really good lunch in a very good grill with a tasty burger. Would return to play here when returning to Nashville.

First off, I play this course a lot and seeing some of these negative reviews really shouldn’t turn anyone away from playing here. The course is making great improvements right now. There were a few trees cut down that will really free up some sun and air into lots of the greens and fairways. The course was hurt in the middle of the summer when the heat burnt it (along with most other public courses in Nashville) but has made a great comeback.

One green is top dressed now which is fine because it looks like the grass is really taking on it. The rest of the greens are rolling great and look to be in good shape with the cooler weather and moisture.

For the price and the great layout, I can’t see how anyone could ever complain.

Played this course many times. Always ball marks on greens which is the players responsibility of course. Anywhere but the fairway has so thick thatch, your ball will just bury and you'll never find it. Last time I played, they had a tournament and it was chaos. Bunkers are horrible. I only play this course when it's a Hot Deal, but NEVER will play it at full price. I'll go to Country Hills for that.

Nice course layout but the slowest round we have ever played! Over 5 hours which was extra odd since the Marshall told us it was a four hour round course. There were some holes that have 3-4 groups on them

This course is in about as bad as possible shape an open golf course could be in. Not joking, the muni courses around Nashville are much nicer than this course. Some greens are unplayable, there is no sand in the “bunkers”, just caked up mud and puddles, the tee boxes are uneven... back 9 wasn’t even open so they made us play the front 9 twice. It was a joke. I’ve never written a review on here before but I feel compelled to do so because I don’t want anyone else on here going out there and wasting your money when there are several courses in the area for the same price that are in MUCH better shape. It’s a shame too, because the layout could be good if somebody were to put a lot of money into maintenance and actually take care of the place.
