Country Hills Golf Club
About
Located just 20 minutes north of Nashville, Country Hills Golf Club in Hendersonville is not only conveniently situated, it also offers a challenging round for golfers of all skill levels. The narrow fairways demand accuracy, especially on the front nine's tricky par 4s. The holes on the back nine are somewhat more open but those benefits are offset by a variety of well-placed hazards and hillier terrain that make it the more challenging of the two nines. Playing with someone who is familiar with the course or at least thoroughly studying the scorecard beforehand would be helpful. Golfers should brace themselves for the especially treacherous second and 15th holes. To prepare for this formidable test, golfers can warm-up on the large driving range and putting green.

Unique layout with some tough elevation
There are some holes where being in the fairway is an absolute must due to the elevation changes. Course was in decent shape considering all of the recent heavy rains (greens had just been aerated). The beginning of the back 9 has a few holes that play very similarly to one another, but the holes on the rest of the course all feel very unique. A bit short from the tips compared to some other area courses, but the elevation changes balance some of that out.
County hills
Course was in great shap. Greens were in excellent shape smooth and very quick. Really good golf course I'll be back
Great value and well kept course
Played this course with my brother while he was in town and it had rained the few days prior. The course was well kept and the staff was very friendly. It was challenging but lots of fun. I can't think of anything that would make me hesitate about playing here again.
Nice layout
The course is challenging. Very hilly so you have to keep that in mind when choosing clubs. Greens were great.
Staff is very friendly and it was a good experience
Course usually has great food but no burgers or brats on this day
Course is a little rough this time--good for the money--would not recommend for beginners--difficult to find balls in the rough--greens are lightning fast!
Awesome challenging Inc course
A very challenging, target golf course. The links are in great condition, the greens are fast and in good shape. Definitely one of the best courses in the area
Have a great round
Blue tees challenge
At 6800yds it was a very good test with necessary carries on several holes and several elevated greens that require attention on club selection. A very good play at a very good price.
The Hills
Country hills is a course that is played a lot. Greens were decent for a course that gets played so much and because we haven't had much rain lately. Had a few shots run off the green with no grip due to dryness. Still enjoy playing this tough course and very hilly. Not the course you always pull out a driver in a Par 4. Still love this course and would play it again next week if I could.
Ball depository
It's been a few years since I last played this course. Trees have grown and obstructed several fairways and tee shots, even on par 3s. Trees deflected many balls and the Bermuda grass swallowed them up. We lost a dozen balls between the two of us. We found half dozen from others who lost balls. This is not a friendly playing course and I'm a 9.5 handicap, my partner is a 12.0.
Friendly staff and wonderful course
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Brad Shirley runs a great course and his staff are well trained. The course was beautiful and provided a good challenge.
Challenging but fair
Fun but challenging track. Especially tricky Greens. Keep your approach shots and chips below the hole. Greens roll very true and typically roll fast. GREAT, FRIENDLY STAFF! Brad and Rusty are absolutely great. Lots of wildlife too. The course mean. Not Brad and Rusty.
Very tricky greens!
Still new to the game!
Looking at more affordable courses to play. Our neighboring courses are close to $60 per round!
A lil more than our group can afford on a weekly basis!
My golf is to break 90 by my 50 th birthday! Did play very well this round, missed a lot of putts do to the tricky greens! To me any way!
Beautiful course, I and my group will be back again soon!
Country Hills Review
If you're in the Nashville area for golf, you must play this course. It is in excellent shape!
Challenging But Fair
Love this course, you have to be on your game. Has some great risk reward holes.
Tough course if not used to playing here often
Country Hills is a great public golf course beautifully crafted into the hills of Hendersonville, TN. The greens were in great shape to begin the summer golf season. Teed off early morning with foursome of all different skill levels and we all were able to thoroughly enjoy ourselves even with a "few" lost golf balls. Bring a few extra as the challenging blind shots will leave you searching if you are inaccurate. This course requires more strategic golf shots so be prepared to use all of your clubs.
