The Greens at Deerfield

Course is very unique and in the north Tennessee mountains. Some of the views are stunning and for the views alone and several of the water holes on the front 9 worth a visit. However, the conditions are suffering in several areas: several of the back tees have been abandoned (and have for some time) and they appear to be aggressively de-bunkering or not maintaining their bunkers.

Book ahead if you want to play this course. It's in very nice shape.

Course was fantastic and the guy in the pro shop gave us some great tips.

Really nice course with lots of elevation change. First time ever playing it and as a twosome never had to wait and completed the round in 3 hours 15 minutes. Greens were in nice condition.

This course is a nice but tough layout. The first time playing you have to know where to place your shot off the tee. The buck 9 is considerably tougher than the front. Hole #3 is a beast. Takes a well placed tee shot over water with less than driver and a forced carry second shot over the water. This is a position course that you have to play more than once to Score very well. Some easy par 5’s help. Derrick was working the pro shop and bar and is a great guy.

If you don't mind playing with 6to8 players on a hole this course is for you. Deerfield overbooked. Shame on you.

The pace of play was terrible as they have no Ranger. Fairways were hard like the middle of summer. fairways were cut too close and greens had no consistency.

Course is in great shape. Even after a steady rain from the day before not swampy or muddy. Greens are awesome and fairways not far behind.Will definitely play here again!!
