Saddle Creek Golf Club

The course was in excellent condition even the sand traps which is saying a lot for what I have seen in the past month or so. The course can be very challenging if you hit the ball in the wrong place, but there are numerous opportunities for birdie if you keep the ball in play. I would recommend that the course go to the red, white and blue system to indicate where the flagsticks are located. The front nine can play very narrow in spots and the bank nine is more open, but there is plenty of trouble to catch bad shots. I played the back tees at around 6700 which made things a little more difficult on some holes.

saddle creek has the best greens inthe area. fairways are a little rough in areas but are coming in. very nice layout. friendly staff

This course has some of the best greens in town, public or private. New ownership has turned this place around. Be sure to grab the club Sandwich and/or some wings after your round. You will not be disappointed. The overall experience is worth the drive no matter where in Middle Tennessee you are coming from.

I had not played this course in over a year. I enjoyed it the first time I played it, but the new ownership has done wonders. The course was in great shape. The staff was incredibly friendly. I got paired and played with a course regular which was a lot of fun. The staff was very friendly with him and me, both. The driving range was good with balls available with every green fee. The range balls were in excellent shape. Just overall an excellent experience.

The course was in great shape. Staff was great. Layout of tees gives something for everyone. Front 9 was tight and challenging. Back 9 wide open. Loved it.

Outstanding from the range balls to the greens to the hospitality of the employees! Beautiful greens, quick yet soft enough to put some action on the ball! Enjoyed it so much we played it again today! Being from Florida are glad we found this secret!

First time to play since new ownership took over. Conditions were very good, especially the greens. Staff was competent and friendly. Even though it is an hour ride to get there for me, I will be back

Staff was awesome and the course is in great shape. Cant wait to go back. You have to think on this course. This is not a course you will use driver on every hole.

The new folks running Saddle Creek are doing an excellent job. The course is in the best condition that I have seen in years. The greens are near perfect. Can't wait to get back out there and play!

Met some old friends at this course and made a day of it......awesome idea! Breakfast is included weekend mornings....range balls are included every day! The Club Sandwich after round 1 was phenomenal and the wings and beer after round 2 were right on time. The staff was accommodating to say the very least. The course and experience exceeded our expectations ten fold.

Very favorably impressed with overall experience. Arrived early to be greeted earnestly and informed of range availability with complimentary balls. Course was in great shape and offered real intermittent challenges but was manageable by less experienced golfers. Varied lunch menu at turn was great with multiple budget considerations. Good deals in pro-shop prompted me to purchase a pair of shorts and a polo. Can't wait to get opportunity to return to this great course.

You won't find a better value or golf experience in southern Middle TN than you will get at Saddle Creek. The course is in phenomenal shape, and you can hardly find a blemish on the entire course. What's even better is the courtesy of the staff. They are absolutely top-notch. Saddle Creek would get my highest recommendation.

I was thoroughly impressed with the course. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the maintenance crew is obviously working diligently. The course is in very good shape and seems to be recovering very well from the winter kill. The greens are outstanding, very quick, but roll amazingly true. I will most definitely make the hour and a half drive to play there.

The little things and some nice surprises really changed my experience. If you have not played this course in a while like I had not then you need to go back and try it again. In the parking lot when we put our bags down we were greeted and had our clubs put on the cart. In the clubhouse there was coffee ready...few courses have coffee ready for the dew sweepers so that was nice change. I can name several courses that rarely or never have coffee ready for the first couple of groups out. The we are told that we have range balls included and already set up for us AND complimentary breakfast which we got at the turn. Pretty nice breakfast.

Nothing against previous management, they made some positive changes over the previous group but I think this group has it together and hope they keep it up.

The staff was friendly, the course was in decent shape but better than the other courses I have played and driven by in middle TN. Greens were in great shape, rolled smooth and true.

I have one complaint that will most likely never change. The tree on 10 that blocks what one would think is a perfect drive. Put the ball 15 yards past the 150 marker and get blocked.

This is a fantastic course and simply a wonderful place to play! The best part about the course are the greens. They are amazingly receptive to approaches and very fair on putts. The staff is friendly, the practice areas are always well kept, and the carts are quiet and smooth. They course also offers deals that you can sign up to receive. Bring some friends and enjoy this fantastic course!

First, some background: I played this course for the first time on June 8th, 2014. Middle Tennessee had been experiencing some crazy storms, so the course was fairly saturated. I played cart path only and lift-clean-place, and it was actually fine. However, 8 days later after a few days of dry conditions, the course was outstanding.

From what I gather, the unseasonably cold winter (like, once-in-a-generation cold) had an effect on many courses in the area. Saddle Creek wasn't immune. However, in a few short months, the fairways are coming along wonderfully. I honestly saw a difference in coverage in just 8 days between rounds. The non-100% coverage of fairways is the only reason I gave the conditions 4/5 stars. I almost went 5 though, because...

The greens make this course top-notch though. You want pure roll? You got it! They're in the top 5-10% of all the courses I've ever played, including many high-end private courses in Arizona, Hilton Head, etc.

Coming from out of the area, I'm surprised at how inexpensive it is to play at a great course. I'm quite used to $45-65 if I want to ride 18 and hit a few golf balls before the round at our decent public courses. Heck, my local muni (not even close to as nice a course) cost my wife and I $88 to ride 18, and we had to pay another $6 for range balls. At Saddle Creek, I got free range balls to warm up. Need some tees? Just ask! They'll hand you some before you walk out. Little things like this make a difference when I venture out for a day of golf. And I'm getting all that for $20-$40 (depending on day of play).

I did not play this course under the old management, so I don't know how it compared year over year. I will say that under current management, the inside staff and the super take immense pride in their work, and it shows up in the course. The kitchen has great food at a reasonable price.

All in all, so glad I took the time to play while in the middle TN area. When I'm back, I'll be playing Saddle Creek again without a doubt. Thanks to the staff, outside crew, kitchen & management for making it a wonderful couple days of golf!

Great course for the money. Staff was great. Tee times were spaced so we didn't feel overly rushed. Overall awesome experience!
