Course in better shape than most after the tough winter here. Only a few bare spots left in fairways. Overall very enjoyable course.
Excellent all around
Course in great condition! The staff was extremely friendly and lunch in restaurant was awesome. This has to be best value and best kept secret in middle Tennessee! We played on a Wednesday afternoon and not crowded at all, didn't wait at all.

The course is beautiful, the staff is extremely friendly and the facilities are top notch! I have to drive 50 minutes and it is worth it.

Excellent value and Accommodating, friendly staff
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Played through front 9 in 1.5 hours, back 9 in 2 hours. GREAT value !!! Nicely maintained course, and moderately challenging.

Great Course
My son and I played 18 hours at Saddle Creek for part of his Easter gift. The course was in very good shape considering that it is still very early in the year. The greens in excellent shape and rolled very well. Staff was very nice and helpful, we must have seen the beverage cart girl 10 times during the round. Overall it is a very nice course for the money and I am sure we will be going back and making out tee time through www.golfnow.com.

Good course
Good course crowded and slow movement took from nine am till one thirty pm to play eighteen.
It may just be me, but 9:00-1:30 is 4 and a half hours right? You have 1 star selected for pace of play and that is >5 hours to play. 4.5 is still a touch long (I think 4:00 to 4:15 is fair if the course is packed).

Great atmosphere, greens were in good shape. Bermuda still dormant. Will play this course again. If your in the Nashville/Brentwood/Franklin area it is worth the 45-60 minute drive.
Worth the Drive
Worth the drive to play...great variety of holes. It had just rained all day prior and course was still in great shape considering. Pro Shop staff top notch.
The course was in good shape with all the wettness.
My wife and Grandson played with me today and the wind was up to 15mph and it was cart path only, but we had a great time trying to adjust to the layout with all the creeks and lakes running through it. When the grass turns green and the trees bloom out, it will be a challenge to get around, but beautiful.

Have played about 8 times here and enjoy the Course and friendlessness fo the staff. Take my boy with me who plays and since it is not as crowded we both enjoy the course.
Still a good value for the money. Looks like it is changing ownership again. THe concessions and pro shop really needsome attention. THey are lacking.
A good course with some challenging holes. Sand traps are not really kept up and the rough is really a little rough. Balls that are jsut off the green are hard to find and nestle down in really ling and thick bermuda. The pro shop is almost empty as they whittle down inventory for another ownership/management change at the end of October. Hopefully the new owners will seize the investment opportunity and keep the course alive.
Rough tooooo high
This is a really nice course and layout,but it is not maintained very well the grass around the greens is very deep and hard to advance your ball. I can say I really like the course but the rough is just too deep. I guess they just don't have the funds to keep it up. You should be punished when you are in the rough but everyone in the group I played in thought it was too deep and in some cases worst than US OPEN rough. I still like the golf course.
Château Élan Stay & Play Golf Package
The "no grass on the fairways" statement is heavy on hyperbole. Yes, there were bare spots at the time (and much more grown in now). But no grass? Come on.
I paid $5-6 for a giant chicken salad sandwich and plenty of fries. What is very very expensive about that?
Just seems odd to find a 2-star review mixed in randomly to nothing but 4 and 5-star reviews for the entire 2014 season...and to have that review say things that aren't really the case (having played here multiple times).
To each his/her own I guess...
Fairways are coming back in slowly but surely - the Bermuda grass does go dormant in the winter. Especially after that Winter! I like the golfer's classic sandwiches for $5 including fries or chips.
