Very good greens, but fairways need a lot of work.
Greens were in good repair with smooth putting surfaces. Fairways had many bare spots and collars around green consisted of bare spots and crab grass.

Met my expectations
Knowing this is a muni course, will help you frame your expectations. I've played at really nice courses and some not-so nice courses and for the money, i thought it was a decent value. If you go on golfnow, you can get some hot deals that won't break the bank.
Course was in good shape and greens were good. The cart path was adventurous though. Definitely needs some repaving in a lot of areas. Not a lot of hazards to get you into trouble either.
I played early in the morning so pace of play was quick but I can see how things could get backed up if you have foursome after foursome and slow players. I don't care if you're not the best player but just keep the pace.
Definitely would play here again!

Poorly Maintained Course
I came to this course about a year ago for the first time and wasn’t pleased at all. The greens were in poor conditions and overall the course appeared to be minimally maintained. This year (2021), I had heard mixed reviews so I figured I’d give it another shot. Once again, it was in very poor condition. The staff were courteous and they have good prices on shoes and other merchandise. Unfortunately, that’s the only compliment I can pay. I hope the course turns around for the future.

Cart paths
The cart paths are in terrible condition, and they are hard on the golf carts. Also need a Marshall to keep the pace of play going.

Hurray! Cart paths redone!
this is my home course. the folks here are my friends... each one good people.
my only complaint in the short time ive played this game was the rough cart paths...
being a city course, the staff had no control over the situation...
but, great news at last!
the cart paths are smooth... they’re as GREAT as every other aspect of this fine, fine course.
cant wait to play again.

SMYRNA GOLF COURSE
This course was not in the shape I have seen it in, in the past. True, the Bermuda hasn't come in yet. But the fairways were terrible. Bunkers were good. Greens were nice but slow.

Golf is golf but...
Course has some fun holes. Greens were in decent shape. Course layout can be confusing to first timers and I’m not quite sure the posted distances from the tee were accurate. Kinda cool playing next to a small airport but you add the highway noise into the mix as well and it’s not for everybody. The price to play here is pretty steep for what you get!
