Nashboro Golf Club
About
Nashboro Golf Club sits just outside of Nashville's city center, and offers good times and good tests.
Nashboro Golf Club is home to a classically designed par-72 championship golf course that measures 6,887 yards; manicured Bermuda fairways give way to premium bentgrass greens. Grass aficionados will also be happy to know that the fairways and roughs both get plenty of rye grass seeds during the winter, allowing for ideal playing conditions year-round. All levels of golfer can get into the course's beauty - the fairways are lined with both mature trees and great vistas - and the strategically-placed water hazards and bunkers will also challenge seasoned golfers and novice golfers alike.
After - or before or both - a round of golf at Nashboro Golf Club, grab a round in the clubhouse's full-service bar and grill, which offers a casual vibe.

Rude Staff - Eqipment Problems
One of our4some arrived a few minutes early and was starting to put his clubs on one of the vacant carts when one of the staff came out and told him to get them off until the entire group arrived. The course was wet and sloppy due to the rain the night before (Cart Path Only). The first half of our round went OK except for one of our carts kept shutting down on the cart path thinking it was in a restricted area causing us to have to go backwards until it decided we were out of the “restricted area”. Note this is pain at Nashboro even when not cart path only. When we started the back nine the group in front of us had dropped out creating a gap. When we got to the 13th hole a staff member was setting there in a cart and told us we were too slow and would have to skip the hole and move on even though no one pressing us from behind. In over 25 years of playing I have never had this happen. Note we were having the same cart problem on the back nine. Would recommend you spend your money elsewhere.

Brad at the front desk was very helpful, the golf course was a nice outing. The upstairs grill attendant was very pleasant and helpful. Overall, the experience was very enjoyable.
Great Challenging Course for all skill levels
Had a great time. The course was fun to play...the staff was really friendly. Be prepared to hit straight...some opportunities to hit your fade shot. Fairways are wide but don't assume "easy". Will definitely play again next vacation to Nashville!!
This course is a hidden gem in the heart of Nashville
I am a Nashville native and have been playing Nashboro for 35 years. Nashville has experienced unprecedented population growth over the last 10-15 years. Tee times around the city are hard to come by and the green fees have skyrocketed with many of the courses having sub par greens and fairways making the experience not worth the $95-$100 fee. At Nashboro, your not going to get a fancy clubhouse and amenities but you will get tee time availability with the best price in town ($58-$70), true rolling, fast mini verde greens and bermuda fairways that are in great shape year around which is more important to me than amenities. Nashboro’s layout is challenging yet so fun to play. Jeff Page and his team understand what most golfers want, a fair price to play a course that is always in great condition with a friendly staff that adds a neighborhood vibe. Pace of play is good as we finished our round in less than 4 hours today. Definitely worth the money!
Top notch
I’ve played many courses in the Nashville area and this course is among the best.
Good shape for summer - quick play
Little sand on the greens but after watering they should look great. I worked here in late 90s and the greens would always burn up in the summer. They’re in good shape for late August and very quick! I’ve always enjoyed Nashboro’s layout. Tees are up on a majority of the holes. I should have shot better. :)
Eh this place kinda sucks
Greens were great but everything else was just bleh. Except for the first hole, the course layout is really sour. There's no "fun" to this course. Just horrible hills and annoying trees. Fairways and tee boxes were burned to the high heavens. This is not a 65 per time course. Pls go somewhere else with your money.
It’s Back!!
I haven’t played Nashboro for a couple years as it was always torn up. Now I know why and what a great course it is back to being.
Fairways and greens are in great shape. Bermuda greens that can handle the play. Not all dented like most places.
Well kept and worth the effort for all to return if you’ve been away for a bit.
The staff is very friendly and informative
This was the first time playing this course and will definitely come back to play it again. The fairways and greens were in good shape the day we played. The pace of play was a little slow at times, but over all a nice course to play while visiting the area.
Amazing condition for the value
Greens and fairways were in top top shape.
Tee boxes could have used some love with some of the grass really needing to be cut.
Fallen Off
Nashboro used to be a solid spot for a decent round. This last time was nearly unplayable, however.
Only one guy working the front desk, no starter, and lots of confusion on the first tee. We ended up teeing off 20 minutes late. Fairways were overgrown - just about rough length. Rough was very high, nearly unplayable on most shots. Greenside areas that used to be normal spots to miss were frequently unplayable too, Greens extremely slow and weedy overall, but also inconsistent. Grill/snack bar closed at the turn at 11am, then got stuck behind mowers on the back 9 [did no one show up to work that morning/week?]. Add that to the already weak spots of not having a range, plus carts that often die - and it was barely a 2-star experience, when it used to be a solid 4.
Thankfully the GPS on the carts is still mostly accurate to the pin and front/back distances. But when random holes are cart path only and you get too concerned to drive in the fairway because the carts often die [and sometimes don't even let you reverse out], that one redeeming quality is gone.
All the Nashville munis are in better condition than Nashboro at this point. Save your money/hassle and support the city.
