Editor's Note: Course closed for business in Jan 2018.

Lost Creek Golf Club is located on the southwestern edge of Fort Worth and labels itself “the best golf value in Fort Worth.” The golf course, designed by Leon Howard in 1971, has changed ownership too many times to count and is now a public course. Howard’s design utilizes elevated tees and a tree-lined creek to add character to the course.

While there are two long par 4s, most holes play in the mid-300-yard range, making it a relatively short layout at only 6,388 yards. Holes of note are the 433-yard 13th, featuring a creek that crosses in front of the tee and pinches the fairway along the left side, and the difficult No. 18, where the creek cuts across the fairway twice, making it a long 526-yard hole.

The best tip for approach shots is to keep the ball below the hole, as most of the greens slope from back to front.

The setup is nice. The condition of the course is bad.

Needs a lot of attention! Greens are bad. Fairways are hard.

Use to be a great course.

Appears owners are just doing minimal repairs to keep the place open. Course looks like a pasture. I believe same folks own Whitestone.

Beautiful day to play golf...

Weather couldn't have been better. Lost Creek is a great course for the money. This time of year the fairways are brown as is all of Texas. The greens were fast but in pretty good shape. Most of the traps were in good shape considering it had rained recently. All in all not sure you can beat Lost Creek for the price.

Decent course for the price

I finally decided to try Lost Creek after seeing great deals constantly on golfnow. For $10 it was well worth the try on a Friday afternoon. The course was almost empty as I played my fastest round ever as a single in 2 hrs 45 mins. The course has a nice layout in a complete residential neighborhood. There's literally a house on every square inch of this course. Makes for great scenery. The only complaint I have is the upkeep of the course. The greens were actually decent for this time of year. But the weeds were atrocious and showed lack of care for the course. It reminded me of Fort Worth Golf Club that is now vacant. The cart paths need repaving, but are serviceable. The club house is dated, but that doesn't bother me. The staff was friendly in the bar and pro shop. The putting greens and driving range were in good shape. For the no frills golfer, I recommend this course to play a quick round on a challenging course. I just hope they get the weeds under control. They were a definite eye sore.

Greens are in nice shape for this time of year.

Greens and tees are in good shape for mid-February. Fairways are dormant this time of year though... lots of hardpan lies. I recommend playing winter rules(improve your lie as necessary) until things start to green up on the fairways. Otherwise, good and challenging course as always.

Lots of Potential

If the Management would focus a little more on course maintenance, it would be a decent course. The only reason we played it was because I found a discount deal, I would not play this course at full price, it's just not very appeasing in the shape it's in. Several of the ball washers did not have brushes inside them and what I did not understand was why the Marshall asked me and my partner to "peddle" a little faster when we were crawling up the twosome in front of us backside all round, there was no way to play any faster, only took a glance to see that, which he failed to do.

Great course and great value

Only a short drive from Fort Worth is Lost Creek. The course is great for the average golfer. It has tees for juniors, seniors moderate and blue tees as well. The course is well maintained and does have many bunkers at least 12-14 and at least 4-6 water hazards. The course is easily accessible from i-30 or from hwy 80.

Course needs some TLC

Range is about a five minute drive from clubhouse and only has two flags to hit at. A lot of blind shots on the course and unless you've played there before you'll be lost. Hard to read hole diagrams and yardages are inaccurate as they have changed layout and tee boxes on some of the holes. Wouldn't play there again unless they came down on fees. Not worth more than $15 for a round with cart and range balls.

Good Deal with GolfNow deal

Decent course with some challenging doglegs, some sand and as the name implies there is a creek to provide some water hazard.
The rough was a bit rougher than some other courses, but the fairways and greens were in pretty good shape. I'll play here again and hope they spend some time cleaning up the rough, or just try a little harder to stay out of it.

Fun Course, Great Price

The staff is good. They were on the ball with my Golf Now booking. They knew I didn't owe any money at the pro shop. This is a fun and challenging course along the nice older area of Aledo. Some beautiful houses and scenery along the way. There were a lot of leaves on the course with it being the fall, but no matter. All in all a fun, well maintained course, with easy booking and close to downtown Fort Worth.

Simple 18 hole layout ...

The owner of the course was out playing in a group of seven. By the time we made the turn they were on the back and several groups just played the front a second time, which then backed up the front of the course. Frustrating round of golf.

Lost creek golf

Very challenging course, lots of trees and very narrow fairways from tee boxes. Water and bunkers on 9 holes makes for lots of chances for lost balls. Great course for straight hitters and to help others hit better. All in all a fun course to play even at the end of November when there are leaves everywhere and you can loose your ball right in the middle of the fairway too! Go and have fun. Enjoy the beautiful scenery they have to offer.

Very good Course.

My sons and I enjoyed our day out on 11/20/2012. The Course was well maintained and they pace of play was good. This was the first time for us to play this course and I am planning to play it again next week when my brother comes down for Oklahoma for a visit.

I will recommend this course to others.

OK Course

Windy day made it much more challenging from tips. Fast greens w/ plenty of undulatuions/breaks, in good shape...some a bit small to hold. Fairways thin, hardpan'ish'...ball rolls forever. Would like to play this course again in less winds. Bunkers need work.
